Anthony Kiedis was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which makes it the greatest place on earth =) His mother is Peggy Idema, and father Blackie Dammett. Kiedis is a Lithuanian name. Lived with his mom in Michigan until age 11, where he moved to LA to live with his dad. He lost his virginity at 12 to Red Haired Kimberly Smith. Anthony started at Fairfax High School in 1977, where he met Flea. The two of them struck up a wild friendship and became legends at thier school for thier dangerous behavior. On one occasion Anthony attempted to jump from the roof into someones pool, but he missed and bounced off the concrete before flopping into the pool. Anthony had never intended to get involved with music. However, he and his friends Flea, Hillel Slovak, and Jack Irons started the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Anthony has had many injurys on stage, such as torn rib muscle, and torn ligaments in his right ankle.
