The Monsters Under the Bed

There is a world within our own in which lurk creatures of lore. Vampires. Witches. Werewolves. Shapeshifters. Dragons. In this world, these beings are very real and very, very deadly. However, to most of the Day World these people remain children's bedtime tales. What happens when reality crashes down around one of these poor souls and they discover that the monsters under the bed are real?

This article is about just such a person, Nirevin Ranir. An Old Soul who unwittingly sought out the land of fables and is finding it to be more than she bargained for. To learn that one is indeed an old soul must be challenge enough to deal with, but to learn also that these creatures exist right along side normal humans, how does one handle that? Denial. Fear and Disbelief. Eventually though, they either go insane or accept it.

Our human friend here chose acceptance. *I never had a problem adjusting, but then I'm your fearless reporter.* After this choice was made she found those who began to help her cope with these newly made discoveries. She is learning control over her past lives and the visions resulting from them.

Where does she go from there? Only the Goddess knows, but I find it interesting to note that this is one human who may bite back. So some vampires and 'shifters, who shall remain nameless, better watch their step. From shearing sheep to learning martial arts, this girl is using her past lives for a gain.
