“That movie must have been boring, huh? You fell asleep for two hours.” AJ told me as I woke up.

Brian was up and gone already, plus he had given me a blanket.

Kevin sat down near me and smiled. “You are probably the only person I know that can fall asleep in Scream.”

I smiled back. “Guess I was just tired.”

Just then, Nick barged through the door. “Brian!!”

Brian came out of his room, “Yeah?”

Then Brian noticed me. “Oh, hey Missa. Did you just awake?”

“Yep.”

“Um, cool.” Then he followed Nick out the door.

“Did you noticed something weird with Brian now?” I asked Kevin.

“What do you mean?”

“Well, for one thing, he never really jokes anymore. And he.... he’s just been acting different, except when he’s on tv.” I added.

Kevin shrugs.

“Sheesh, you’re his cousin, shouldn’t you know?” I asked.

“He just...” Kevin hesitated. “Um...”

“What??” I asked impatiently. “Is it about his surgery? Aftershock? His heart has another hole?”

Kevin shook his head. “No, nothing like that.”

“Then what?”

Just as Kevin was about to reply, Brian came in.

“Hey, Kev and Missa, do you want to come to the movie?”

“Sure!” I said jumping up and following Kevin out the door.

“So what movie are we seeing?” I asked Nick.

Nick shrugged. “I dunno, anything that’s playing, I guess.”

I turned to Kevin. “So what movie?”

Kevin shrugged, too. “Just be patient.”

I groaned, how in the world am I to be patient??

It takes at least 30 minutes just to drove to the ‘good’ theater.

I’ve always been impatient, for example, if it takes too long to cook, I’ll just order out. Yep, that’s me all over.

Brian was busy concentrating on driving, so I didn’t bother him.

“Hey, AJ, where’s Howie?” I asked.

“He’s still off on his date.”

“Ooooohh.” I said in a sing-song voice.

Brian pulled into the theater and announced, “Go in there and make me proud!”

I pretended to salute him, “Yes sir!”

Kevin rolled his eyes and got out.

I looked at the movies that were playing..

“I Know What You Did Last Summer”, “Mulan”, “Titanic”, “Armageddon”, and “The Parent Trap”.

“So which one?” I asked.

“I dunno...” AJ said. “How about that summer thing?” He suggested eyeing Jennifer (the actor) in the poster.

I laughed a bit, AJ had a sorta crush on Jennifer, he also had met her once, but she didn’t notice him... probably because he was too busy gawking to even say hi.

Nick shook his head. “I’ve already seen it.”

“And me, too.” Brian added.

“Um, how about Armageddon?” I tried.

AJ shook his head, “I’ve seen that.”

I studied hard at the posters. “Maybe we should just split up.”

Brian whined, “Split up? What’s the point of going ‘together’ then?”

AJ sighed. “How about Titanic?”

We all looked at each other.

Nick made a face. “It’s about a ship...and LeoDiCrap-”

“Nick!!!” I said in disbelief.

“What?” Nick said innocently. “Oh, that isn’t his name?”

I sighed. Nick had something against Leo, maybe it was because magazines were always telling him how much he looks like Leo and comparing them.

“C’mon, let’s watch it!” I said, tired of waiting. “I mean, how bad can it be?”
