Chapter 4: Off we go like a heard of turtles(dont’ ask) 
	At 10:53 the next morning Lucy woke up by the sound of a horn honking. 
She kicked her cover out and went to look out the window but she couldn’t see the 
drive way very well from her room so she was going to go down stairs and check it 
out. She first got dressed(‘it wasjust a horn honking it can’t be like an emergancy 
or anything’ she though) and then went to wake Mary up but she wasnt there. So 
she went down stairs for breakfast, it just then occurd to her. SHE WAS 
LEAVING TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lucy flew open the rec room door and dashed down 
the stairs that led to the kitchen. She expected to have every one downstairs ready 
to shout  
“HAPPY B-DAY” even though her B-day wasnt 4 another week but they would be 
gone 
so she figured that they would want to celebrate it today. ‘Nah’ she thought 
‘im just thinking spoiledly’ She began to wonder where every one was. She 
ran back up the stairs and looked in her parents room. They wernt there, and 
Russ wasnt in his room either. She figured she’s here them if they were doing 
something together in the living room. Lucy decided to take a shower and 
change her clothes since she wanted to where more comfortable clothes for 
the flight. She got out of the shower and opened her droor and brushed her 
long dirty blonde hair out. She put on her clothes. Some of Mary’s old pants 
and last years summer camp shirt. She figured she probably wouldnt meet 
Hanson or see them on the first day so it didnt matter what she looked like. 
She knew that they should be leaving anytime now since it was now 10:30 
and they flight left at 12:45. She grabbed her HUGE suitcase that she could 
barley lift and went down the front stairs to put it by the door as she was 
walking down the stairs backwords lugging the suit case, she heard a horn 
honk. ‘Hmmm’ she thought trying to look out the window at the bottem of 
the atairs and then back at the suit case. She heard the horn honk agian. She 
let got of the suit case and jumped down the stairs skipping the last 3. 
thud thud thud thud thud thud thud. She looked down and saw her suit case 
at her feet. She rolled her eyes at herself 
“That was tough” she said out loud to herself. And then opened the door. She 
walked down the stoop and stopped. she furrowed her brow and looked at her 
mom, dad, brother, and sister who were blocking the small entry way that led 
to the street. 
“You guys?” she asked 
“Yeah, hun?” Said her mom 
“What are you doing out here?” She aked with a bit of a lauph. she knew 
soemthing was up. 
“Oh, well....” her mom began. She just then heard a car enigne start and her 
jaw dropped at the site of the car that pulled into the drive way. A long, 
black, stretch limo, was in her drive way. A choffer got out and opend the 
trunk. 
“your luggage miss.” He said to Lucy. Lucy turned to her family with an 
unbeleivabale smile. They just smiled back and her dad gave her a go ahead 
signal. She ran into the house and grabbed her suitcase and Russ rn up and 
grabbed it from her seeing her struggle, and put it in the back of the limo. She 
ran up stairs and grabbed her carry on bag. She stopped and looked around 
making sure she wasnt forgetting anything, and turned down the hallway.

	“Now were trusting you, to be responsible” Said Dave 
	“Yeah, yeah, Dad we know.”Said Mary
	“Yeah you’ve told us 100 times” Agreed Russ	 
	“And I’ll tell you agian.”Said their dad “This is no joke ok?” They 
nodded “I want you to give Lucy a good time.” 
“Yeah and dont get into trouble.” added their mom. 
“and I think that you should really” Their Dad stopped when he heard Lucy 
comming down the stairs.

	Lucy aproched her family who broke up their discussion when she 
walked up. 
	“Are we ready, Dave?” Asked the choffer.  
	“Oh, yeah” Said their dad. They said there ‘goodbyes’ and ‘be goods’ 
and gave their hugs and kisses and got in the limo. 
	“This thing is soooooooooooooooo cool!!!” Said Lucy 
	“Yeah, no doubt” Russ said “Check this out” he continued turning on 
the little T.V. They enjoyed the luxury for about 30 minutes until they were 
about 10 minuted from the Sea-Tac airport. 
“You’ve got the tickets right Russ?” Said Lucy packing up the magazines she 
had gotten out for her and Mary to take the quiz’s. 
“Um...no Lucy Dad gave them to you” Lucy stopped dead still, paused, and 
then looked up at Russ trying not to scream at him. 
“Noooooooo. I saw Dad hand them to you.” she said calmly but madly. 
“Russ, if you lost them..” Mary said clentching his shirt. 
“Aright Aright I was kidding!” He said holding up 2 tickets. 
“I knew you were kidding” Mary said letting go. 
“Hey how come yours are different?” Asked Lucy comparing the 2 others 
tickets to hers. 
“Oh, thats cause Dad got 2 of them with his frequent flyer milage. Other wise 
he never would have let us go.” Mary informed her. Lucy looked confused. 
“Luce mom went over this with you.” Said Mary 
“But there the same flight right?” Asked Lucy nervously  
“Noooo, yours is a different airline"Russ told her. 
“WHAT?” aksed Lucy “This is gonna totaly suck!” 
“Look do you want to trade?” Mary offerd 
“no, thats alright” Said Lucy dissapointedly. 
“You sure?” 
“Yeah” 
“Alright were here!” Said Donald the driver.  The 3 piled out. They checked 
in there luggage. And headed for there gates.
“Ok Lucy your at B13.” Russ said 
“O-k” Lucy replied Looking around. 
“Our flight leaves about 20 minutes after yours so when you get there go to 
gate C-3 and wait for us dont go ANY wheer else...and dont talk to 
strangers...and...and JUST SAY NO” Russ said to her. 
“Ok,  Dad” replied Lucy sarcasticly. 
“You better go check in Luce” Mary told her. 
“Yeah, ok, well see you guys there” Lucy said waving 
“Bye Luce”
