Welcome To The
RADIO RESEARCH COMMUNICATIONS
UNIT VIETNAM
TET ROCKET ATTACK PAGE

The recording you hear in the background was made by Chris Kruse who was assigned to the 509th RRG, exact unit unknown. It was made on a minature tape recorder using the built in condenser microphone. The slapping sounds heard in the background are those of 122 mm rockets impacting around Davis Station during Tet of 68. You can hear the alert sirens going off and if you listen close enough, you can hear AFN radio stating that Ton Son Nhut is on red alert. This is a rather large file and takes a bit to load, so please be patient.
