Fistandantilus

Human Black Robed Wizard of High Sorcery

Fistandantilus' story is closely related to Raistlin's. Fistandantilus was an insanely powerful archmage who lived in the pre-Cataclysm era. He was a very evil person who dreamed of becoming a god. Fistandantilus was the longest-lived human ever. He began his magical career as a Red Robe, but as he grew old he realized that his life must surely end. He turned to the Dark Queen so that he might keep his life, draining the life essence of young black robes in order to keep himself alive. He had one ambition, to become a god. Fistandantilus was destroyed at Skullcap, during the Dwarfgate War, a bizarre magical accident killed him. Sadly for Krynn, his spirit did not die with his body. Fistandantilus's spirit wandered through time to find a suitable housing for his spirit. His spirit wandered into the future and found a new hope in the person of Raistlin Majere. He aided Raistlin in his Test of High Sorcery in the Tower of Wayreth and managed to sap away part of the young apprentice's life force. In exchange for his services, Fistandantilus and Raistlin were in an unholy alliance. He used Raistlin as a puppet and tried to lure him back to the days just before the Cataclysm so he could possess his body using his unholy magic. Fistandantilus forced Raistlin back in time were he could use the Bloodstone and fully take over Raistlin's body. But unfortunately for him he had underestimated the young mage. Raistlin was too strong for him, and killed him and took over his body and power instead. This aided in Raistlin's quest of also becoming a god, adding to his power which he would need to defeat the Dark Queen.

Fistandantilus famous quote: "Life and power shall not be denied me".

Comments: Fistandantilus was possibly the most powerful mortal to ever live next to Raistlin.
