        Welcome to my Booth Genealogy Page. This is yet another one of my lineage that I had worked on for many years, but then set it aside.      *John Booth was born 1629, baptized 19 Jul 1629, St. Michael, Macclesfield, Co. Cheshire, England (no parents listed in baptismal records). John immigrated to Barbados and then to Shelter Island according to; "John Booth, immigrant ancestor Southold, Long Island 1652: and the Booth family of Dunham Massey, Cheshire, England". John owned a quarter share of Shelter Island and sold it later to Nathaniel Sylvester for £700, according to "Genealogies - Southold town, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York". Following that, the family moved to Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York. He had married *Mary Giles. Mary was born in 1633/34 and baptized on 19 January 1633/34, St. Deny's, Warminster, Co. Wiltshire, England, the daughter of *John Giles and *Mary Hampton (Find My Past). John died on 15 August 1689 and Mary died in 1668, both in Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York. Their children were:

1. Thomas Booth, born 1656, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married Mary WiIcox. Mary born 1666, Westchester Co., New York. Thomas died 04 February 1705/06 and Mary died 1714, both in Suffolk Co., New York. Their children were:

     a. Thomas Booth, b: 16 Apr 1685, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married Bethia Benjamin. Bethia b: 1684, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the daughter of Richard Benjamin and Elizabeth Terry. Thomas d: 18 Nov 1755 and Bethia d: 12 Oct 1757. They are buried in the Old Burying Ground, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY (findagrave). Children: John, Giles, James, Mary, Bethia and Julia Benjamin.

     b. William Booth, b: unknown, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.

     c. John Booth, b: 1688, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. d: 06 Apr 1720, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.

     d. Giles Booth, b: 1690, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, d: 30 Oct 1706, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.

     e. James Booth, b: 05 Jan 1690/91, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, d: 05 Feb 1707/08.

     f. Mary Booth, b: 30 Aug 1703, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married Jonathan Bradley on 04 Oct 1721, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. Jonathan b: 1700?, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the son of Christopher Bradley and Mehitable Horton. Mary d: 23 Apr 1738 and John d: 18 Nov 1739, both Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. Children: Mary, Peter, Mehitable, Grant, Hannah, William, and Martha Bradley.

2. John Booth, born 1657, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married Hannah Horton in 1686, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. Hannah born 26 January 1666, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the daughter of . John died 31 January 1707 and Hannah died 22 December 1742. Their children were:

     a. Mehitable Booth, b: 1686, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married John Burrows on 04 Oct 1722, Saybrook, New London Co., CT. John b: 1680, Massachusetts, the son of William Burrows and Ann Greene. Mehitable d: 23 Apr 1738 and John d: . Children: William, Constant and John Burrows.

     b. John Booth, b: 1687, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island NY, d: 12 Dec 1705.

     c. Obadiah Booth, b: 1692, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married twice. He married firstly to ____ ____. Children: Child: d: 1713. Obadiah married secondly to Elizabeth Paine on 09 Jan 1716/17, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. Obadiah d: 02 Feb 1718, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. Children: Jonathan Booth.

     d. Samuel Booth, b: 1693, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.

     e. Patience Booth, b: 1697, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.

     f. Daniel Booth, b: 1697, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married Rose Holloway. Rose b: 04 May 1704, Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, the daughter of Jacob Holloway and Mary Curtis? Daniel d: 07 Oct 1775 and Rose d: . They are buried in the Old Burying Ground, First Presbyterian Church, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, LI. Children: John, Daniel, James, Patience, Mary, and Hannah Booth.

     g. Constant Booth, b: 08 Jan 1701/02, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married Mary King on 07 Oct 1725. Mary b: 22 Jul 1705, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the daughter of John King and Catherine Osborne. Constant d: 27 Mar 1774 and Mary d: 31 Aug 1769. They are buried in the Sterling Cemetery, Greenport, Suffolk Co., NY. Children: William, Samuel, John, Prosper, Mary, Hannah, Charles, George, Joseph, Constant and Catherine Booth.

     h. Hannah Booth, b: 1702, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married Richard Hudson. Richard b: 1687, NY, the son of Jonathan Hudson and Sarah Wickham. Hannah d: 18 Nov 1734. Children: Obadiah Hudson. Richard remarried.

     i. Martha Booth, b: 28 Aug 1706, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married Jonathan Youngs on 13 Apr 1732. Jonathan b: 23 Jun 1710, Oyster Pongs, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the son of Jonathan Youngs and Dorothy Brown. Martha d: 29 May 1776 and Jonathan d: 09 Sep 1769. Children: Martha, Mary, Mehitable, Jonathan, William, Hannah, Samuel and Dorothy Youngs.

     *Charles Booth was born 1665, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long, Island, New York, married *Abigail Mapham. Abigail was born in 1665, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, the daughter of *John Mapham and *Mary Hampton. Charles died 03 December 1699 and Abigail died 16 December 1727, both in Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York. Their children were:

1. Charles Booth, born 14 Feb 1689, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married Mary Goldsmith. Mary was born in 1694, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, the daughter of John Goldsmith and Anna Wells. Charles died and Mary died . Their children were:

     a. Mary Booth, b: 26 Feb 1713, Orange Co., NY, married Benjamin Haines. Benjamin b: 1710, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the son of Benjamin Haines and Abigail Neeley. Mary d: 09 Jul 1757 and is buried in the Goodwill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Montgomery, Orange Co., NY (findagrave). Benjamin remarried and d: 1795. Children: Mehitable, Charles and Anne Haines.

     b. Charles Booth, b: 11 May 1716, Orange Co., NY. Charles d: 31 Oct 1769, married Lois Bull. Lois b: 09 Oct 1712, NY, the daughter of William Bull and Sarah Wells. Charles d: and Lois d: 31 Oct 1769 and is buried in the Goodwill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Montgomery, Orange Co., NY (findagrave). Children: Mary and Lydia Haines.

     c. George Booth, b: 07 Sep 1722, Orange Co., NY, married Sarah Bull. Sarah b: 01 Sep 1725, Orange Co., NY, the daughter of William Bull and Sarah Wells. George d: 07 Jun 1795 and is buried in the Neelytown Cemetery, Neelytown, Orange Co., NY. Sarah d: 19 Feb 1810 (findagrave). Children: Charles, Joseph, Mary, Lydia, Rhoda, Sarah and William Haines.

     d. John Booth, b: 03 Oct 1724, Orange Co., NY, married twice. He married firstly to Bethia Goldsmith. Bethia b: 1724, NY, the daughter of Thomas Goldsmith and Mary Overton, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. Bethia d: after 1761. Children: David, John, Zacheus, Charles, Bethia and Phoebe. John married secondly to Phebe Stringham. Phebe b: 20 May 1731, Goshen, Orange Co., NY, the daughter of Charles Stringham and Tabitha Smith. John d: 19 Jun 1788, Phoebe d: 01 Feb 1818, both buried in the Elizabethtown, Leeds Grenville, Ontario, Canada. Children: Samuel Booth.

     e. Benjamin Booth, b: 16 Dec 1728, Orange Co., NY, married Mary Bull. Mary b: 03 Feb 1733, Orange Co., NY, the daughter of William Bull and Sarah Wells. Benjamin d: 30 May 1783 and Mary d: 26 Oct 1819, Onondaga Co., NY. Children: Thomas, Jesse, Mary, Benjamin and Eleanor Booth.

     f. Anne Booth, b: 23 Mar 1731, Orange Co., NY, married twice. She married firstly to William Bull. William b: 13 Mar 1723, Orange Co., NY, the son of William Bull and Sarah Wells. William d: 1759, and is buried in the Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Campbell Hall, Orange Co., NY (findagrave). Children: Anne married secondly to James Wilkin. James b: 03 Apr 1723, Ireland, the son of John and Elizabeth Wilkin. Anne d: 29 Mar 1783 and is buried in the Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Campbell Hall, Orange Co., NY (findagrave). James d: 1803, Orange Co., NY. Children: James, Anne, Elizabeth and Jason Wilkin.

2. *Abigail Booth (See 3rd Generation), born 17 Aug 1693, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York.

3. David Booth, born 1695, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married Abigail Horton in 1717. Abigail born 1676, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, the daughter of Caleb Horton and Abigail Mapham. David died 1761 and Abigail died 02 June 1746, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York. Their children were:

4. Elisha Booth, born 1698, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married Hannah Wilmot. Hannah born 10 Dec 1699, New Haven Co., Connecticut, the daughter of Alexander Wilmot and Mary Norris. Elisha died 28 October 1725 and Hannah died 01 May 1754, both in New Haven Co., Connecticut. Their children were:

     a. Elisha Booth, b: 10 Oct 1723, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married Sarah Sackett. Sarah b: 09 Aug 1721, New Haven Co., CT, the daughter of Jonathan Sackett. Elisha d: 12 Jan 1793 and Sarah d: 05 Dec 1800. They are buried in the Hamden Plains Cemetery, Hamden, New London Co., CT (findagrave). Children: Jonathan and Hannah Booth.

     b. Alexander Booth, b: 24 May 1726, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married Sybil Baldwin on 04 Nov 1748, Woodbridge, New London Co., CT. Sybil b: 22 Nov 1728, New Haven Co., CT, the daughter of Samuel Baldwin and Mercy Allen. Alexander d: and Sybil d: 18 Aug 1787. Children: Jared, Elisha, Experience, Walter, Israel, Sarah and Lucy Booth,
