Raymond's Red Head Cichlid

This is my Red Head cichlid. It is also known as a Paratheraps bifasciatus (Steindachner, 1864). I bought him for S$20 from K&K Aquarium (Tampines, Singapore) and it took him quite a while to acclimatise to its new tank. After a couple of weeks, his full colour was finally displayed!


August 96 - This was how it looked when I first purchased it.


June 98 - I keep it in a 2 feet tank, equipped with a Shark 3 internal filter.


June 98 - Its diet consists of cichlid beads (doesn't seem to like live food).
