Cresnath lands with a solid thud. Rumble. Up high, Karise gives a quick wave, wondering, "So.... everyone ready for a bit of trip?"

Muireann waves back, grin gleeful. "Ach brilliant! Aye!" She slaps Aerinth's side. "Ye fancy flyin, pet?" The gold just croooons in delight.

Timoth looks over at Aerinth dubiously, sniffing at the fish again. Tam catches wind of his thoughts and chuckles. "Yes dear, fish are good to eat. Not sure if you'll particularly like them....oh try it and see." Timoth sniffs at it one last time and declines.

C'zar buckles the straps and checks them carefully before tugging his jacket on, then gloves before cramming his riding helment on his head.

From below, Aerinth hunches down, and then leaps into the air, wings flapping.

From below, From Timoth's back Tam giggles and adjust her hat, stuffing hair into it's leathery confines. Gloves are pulled on and riding straps are checked and secured.

From below, Timoth hunches down, and then leaps into the air, wings flapping.

Timoth checks his upward lift to fall in behind Cresnath to her left.

From Cresnath's back,  Karise motions to the northern bowl. "We're first going to learn an image of the star stones, before I left Cresnath visualize a point for Fort Weyr." Wow talk about going at leaps and bounds.

Cresnath wings towards the area above the lake.

From Timoth's back Tam nods her head in understanding, and bespeaks her brown to follow closely and listen to Cresnath.

Timoth wings towards the area above the lake.

Above the Southern Bowl

Open air--save for the everpresent dodge of dragons--surrounds the southern part of Bahrain's bowl, spreading across and over the more popular areas of the weyr:  the lake and feeding grounds.  The training grounds for weyrlings lie off to the side and out of the way, while ledges dot the volcanic walls.

Sapphire rarity bands the unsurpassed freedom of the summer skies.  No precipitation, and indeed, no clouds, mar the unparalled beauty of nature's scope.
You see Ryath, Cresnath, and Timoth here.

Asarith swooops about playfully, neck arching to one side and the other bugling to the other dragons. Caz chuckles and fastens his jacket up right to his chin in preparation for the cold. "Great up here, like sittin atop t'world", his voice almost lost in the rustling of wings and wind.

Timoth trumpets softly, joining in his brother's antics, nearly upsetaing his rider in the process. "Tim! Give me warning, will you?"

Aerinth has arrived.

From Cresnath's back,  Karise calls, pushing her goggles from her face. "Okay! Take a good look around. Memorize how the star stones look from this point! Take in every natural shadow, rock, and take it to memory. Let me know when your dragon understands your image."

From Aerinth's back Muireann studies the ground carefully, eyes mentally mapping the image. She finally nods broadly, so that Karise can see from further away. "Aerinth says she's got it."

Timoth looks around as instructed by his lifemate, checking the position of the Star Stones and fixing it in his mind. Tam grins from atop him. "Timoth's got it too."

C'zar focuses intently upon the star stones and has Asarith focus his attention as well, "Quite playing now!". Slowly he nods to Karise, "Alright."

From Cresnath's back,  Karise nods, as she pats Cresnath. "Alright you..... envision." The green snorts, as she sends a mental message out. Meanwhile, her rider states. "Cresnath is going to envision Fort Weyr's center bowl.... let me know when your dragons have seen and learned it."

From Aerinth's back Muireann nods again, "Got it..." She wraps the straps more firmly about her fingers. Oh boy. This is the biggie.

From Timoth's back Tam looks down at her dragon and can feel his excited ruimble through her legs. "Okay! Timoth knows the location now...." she announces, excitement colorin her voice as well.

C'zar caresses the silvery-gold neckridge of his lifemate while staying deeply intune with him, very slowly his head nods, "Asarith has it", smile spreads wide across his face...

From Cresnath's back,  Karise nods, before going through the final phase. "Now... have your dragons envision the point..... and when you're ready... go between." Will she... won't she?

Cresnath blinks into **between**

C'zar feels shivers go through him and gasps.
Asarith blinks into **between**
-=BETWEEN!=-
You hang, senseless, in the dark nothingness of ::between::... absolute darkness surrounds you, and the profound cold stings you... you wait, and count...
     Black, blacker, blackest,
          And cold beyond frozen things.
Where is -=between=- when there is naught
To Life but fragile dragon wings?

Above the Eastern Curve

Sounds and smells drift lazily upwards from the Living Caverns below; the warm air from the bowl floor mixing with the cooler winds from farther above. Midway between here and there, this area of the bowl offers an exceptional view of sunsets over the rim's edge.

Rukbat slowly begins its journey across the sky, seen or unseen depending on the whim of the weather.
The ice storm continues. Walking is nearly impossible.
You see Cresnath here.

Asarith blinks in from **between**

Timoth blinks in from **between**

From Timoth's back Tam gasps aloud in sheer excitement. "WOOOOW!" is her first response coming out of the cold of between.

Asarith trumpets a rumbling baritone sound across the expanse of sky. WOW...skin ripples in protest of the chilly air they've come from. Caz is pale, eyes gaping. It would seem going between on another's dragon and your own is somewhat different. His arm is hugged closely against his body. Asarith beats his broad wings slow...assuring his rider that all is well.

Aerinth blinks in from **between**

From Cresnath's back,  Karise counts, slowly, looking about. She didn't loose any, did she? Back and forth she looks.... no keening... ah! There's the last one! A sigh of relief is given, as she calls, "Don't get cocky yet! We're going to head back home, then roam all over Pern." Literally.

From Aerinth's back Muireann shields her face with one arm, startled by the sudden change in weather, even as she exults in their first trip between.

Timoth bugles his own excitment intermingled with that of his rider. It was so easy! Tam continues to clutch at her riding straps as she gazes down at a vista she normally sees from the ground.

Aerinth beats her wings slowly, crooning low in delight. She doesn't mind the ice storm. She does her best to stay in proper formation, though she glances down at the strange vista below, intrigued.

Cresnath chortles, breath blowing slowly as she hovers in the air. Back forth... time to explore? Karise gives a wry grin, before nodding. "Aye... time to head someone new. Okay... new plans. How about a visit to Fort Hold?"

C'zar nods quickly, his dragon rumbles eager to see more! /So/ curious is this creature he's raring to go. "Sounds great!".

From Timoth's back Tam giggles in delight, despite the weather and nods her head eagerly. "Sure! This is scarey, but fun!" she admits.....

<I am now envisioning Above the Drumheights>

From Timoth's back Tam shivers slightly. "Nasty weather!" she finally comments, looking down at a familiar structure. She glances over at Karise. "Don't suppose we have time to visit Healer Hall too?" Cheeks are red from the cold, but her eyes twinkle from the possibility of visiting old stomping grounds.

Above the Drumheights

You hover rather close to the cliff face in order to fly over the narrow ledge on which the Harper drumheights rest.  Even from this height the gigantic brass drums gleam brightly, but their bulk allows for little landing space on the ledge itself.  To the east is the airspace over the courtyard of Harper Hall, a much more open and navigable area than the space above the drumheights.

The ice storm continues. Walking is nearly impossible.
You see Cresnath, Aerinth, and Timoth here.
Obvious exits:

C'zar hunchers closer to the warm flesh beneath him, shoulders hunched..."Shard it! Is cold!", he hollers loudly into the icestorm, dipping his head low.

From Cresnath's back,  Karise pulls her coat closer in, before Cresnath swoops. "Of course, Tam.... here we go...."

Cresnath leaves to the Region.
Aerinth leaves to the Region.
Timoth leaves to the Region.

Above Fort Complex

The curved cliff of Fort Hold's sprawling complex spreads out panaramically ahead. The towering palisade cliff to the right is dotted from ground to Fireheight with the tiny blackened maws of shuttered windows; the HarperHall Drumheights lie to the left, high above the Hall proper, while directly ahead is the entrance to HealerHall. Below is the Landing Square that doubles as Gather Grounds as the need arises. Neat stone cotholds line the road up to the main Hold.

Rukbat slowly begins its journey across the sky, seen or unseen depending on the whim of the weather.

Cresnath spins a lazy spiral down towards Healer Hall.

C'zar gazes down at the sprawling complex below...he saw this place..a /long/ while back.

High Above Healer Hall

The wind here is almost overwhelming, changing currents requiring sheer power to be overcome.  The biting chill in winter months has been compared by some to the cold of between.  Healer Hall looks like a toy building just below.  Harper Hall and Fort Hold can be seen in the distance.

The ice storm continues. Walking is nearly impossible.

C'zar makes a firm promise to himself to dress /much/ more warmly in the future for this expeditions. Asarith growls at the cold ice upon his wings and dips them sending the collected coldness tumbling to the earth. "I know dearheart, is sure cold but..is incredible all we get t'see", the bronze warbles and concedes that this fact is true.
