6 pm: Anwar says former aide arrested
KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's sacked finance minister Anwar
Ibrahim said today that authorities had detained his former private
secretary and he expected to be arrested later this month.
Anwar told a news conference at his suburban home that Mohamed
Ahmad, his former private secretary in the Finance Ministry, was
arrested early today and that Anwar's lawyers would ask that
Mohamed be produced in court. - Reuters
