So you have reached the Internet. There are many things
you can do on the internet. This document seeks to inform you of some
of them and point the way.
Things to do
1. Search for Stuff
Who knows what you'll find? And where? Visit the sites
listed below to find pages about your topic. The first site you find might
not be the best, people are still working on making interesting, functional
pages that are informative. Right now, most of the sites that are really good
and give you the most information aren't free. So, if you are looking to see
what is out there right now try one of these search engines.
2. Read the News
Everyone should know what is going on in the world. With the
Internet, the news is just a URL away. Here are some of the most visited
and universal newspapers on the web. And...I slipped in a regional one from
where I live as well.
3. Visit Foreign Places
Believe it or not, most nations and get-away places have their
own web-site. Click the link below for an extensive list I am building of these sites.

4. Visit Zoos
These charming places are able to be visited
from your own chair. Usually there is a section about the types of animals
there, photos and descriptions of that species. Happy touring!
The Minnesota Zoo!
ZooNet
The Phoenix Zoo
The St. Louis Zoo, Missouri
Goose River Zoo, ND
Oklahoma City Zoo
Audubon Institute (Zoo under attractions)
Indianapolis Zoo
5. Browse E-Texts (Electronic Texts / Books)
There has been a movement to scan in books for anyone to read
over the Internet. The links below are catalouges and listings of E-Texts that are
currently on-line. If any of these are found to be out-of-order please contact me at my
e-mail address at the bottom of the page.
