After every season, MLS teams get together to choose their college prospects. Usually your team won't get a whole lot of talent from the draft, but in this page, you'll find out how to get the best out of every draft.

When your in the draft window, filter the players by salary, and at the very top will be the highest paid players, usually they are the best. Take at look at the top 5 and decide on what you need most. If it is offense, filter by offense and you will see the the player with the most offense and so on for the defense.

You should always go for the best talent, but if their is a huge gap in a specific area, you should get that talent.

If you are at the bottom of the draft, then obviously you don't need another player to help your team. You have a championship and shouldn't cut a good player for some mediocre player.

If you find some awesome talent in the draft and don't want to lose some of your other players, then draft some poor USISL player and cut him and get the big talent.

In later years, the draft will contain incredible talent, 21 year old internationals will be there and if you are at the top of the draft you can grab them. Just make sure you have the cap room, because they usually cost about 850k.
