New York/New Jersey Metrostars

First of all, you have a great team! You have two awesome fowards, three awesome midfielders, and two good defenders. Your starting goalie is one of the best in the game for quite awhile.

Lets start with the fowards. Antony De Avila and Giovanni Savarese are one of the best players in the beginning years. Even if Savarese has lower ratings than De Avila, he will last another ten years and be on the all time scorers list for about fifty years. He usually scores about 300 goals when he retires. De Avila is so old in the beginning of the game, that he usually doesn't score more than 100 goals before retirement. AJ Wood is alright. He is kind of old, but you should keep him. Manny Lagos should be used as a backup in case of an injury. Braeden Cloutier is horrible. Cut him immedietely! Or if you want, you can wait and cut him during the College Draft, but he won't score goals-no more than 8 in a season.

The midfielders are also excellent. Roberto Donadoni and Tab Ramos may be a bit old, but they'll give goals and assists like no other midfielder in the game-until someone drafts Ryan Giggs or Claudio Reyna. Miles Joseph is also very good. He'll last longer than any other midfielder on your team also. Sorber and Guido are decent; Guido is good for backup, and they're both goal scorers. I hate Debrito. He has low ratings; about as a good as someone you can get off the draft-maybe a little better. He doesn't really help out the team. Maybe 5 assists and 1 goal per season.

The Metrostar's defense is excellent. Especially with Joao Luis in version 1.53. He can score about 5 goals per year and has an awsome defensive rating. I even put him at goal once and he had a shutout-against New England-he was backed up by Rhett Harty another great defensive player. He may be old, but he can also score goals like Luis. Matt Knowles doesn't usually score many goals, but he is a great defender. I keep Zaun and Da Silva for backup.

Tony Meola is awesome. He is young and has high ratings-the second highest in MLSM at the beginning. He has retired at a .78 GAA one year and never retires more than 1.50 GAA. Zach Thornton isin't the greatest backup, but he's okay.

Room for improvement? I always trade Donadoni to Tampa Bay for Lassiter. You may not agree, but Roy lasts longer and scores more goals. Besides you already have two good midfielders. Try and get a better backup then Thornton. If you can't, get Jurgen Sommer or Jim St. Andre. Preferably Sommer. There both found on the normal free agents list. Try and get another defender for backup and cut Da Silva.

On the international free agents list get Jovan Kirovski and Claudio Reyna. You already have quite a few foriegners on your roster. Get the American free agents. Also consider Kasey Keller as a backup from the internationals, but he is American.

That's all I have right now. Let hear about your success stories with the Metrostars!
