MLSM Strategies

The formation with the most fowards is the 4-2-4 formation. So this is where you should the All Offense strategy. The only time to use this is when you have 3 or 4 strong fowards or you have a weak midfield. You are likely to score many goals with this formation, but you will also give up a lot of goals, even with a decent defense.

In the 3-4-3 formation, use direct. This formation makes use of the strong midfielders on the team. There will be a fair amount of losses though, even with the best midfielders in the game due to lack of pure offensive and defensive players.

The 4-3-3 formation is used with direct or passing strategy. There is a stong defense while also having six players still going for the score. Use direct most of the time, but sometimes, passing can get the job done.

Personally, I think this is the best formation in the game. Passing is the strategy you should always use because of the four midfielders. There is strong offensive potential with the formation, but use it wisely-without strong enough midfielders, you will get trampled every game. Always have a offensive midfielder with over 100 offense and a defensive player with over a 100 defense rating. The other two it doesn't matter.

The midfielder's formation. Five midfiedlers are in the 3-5-2 formation which can have some potential. Use passing. I don't think there are enough defenders-only 3. So don't use this formation without some serious defense. Use 4-5-1. (eg. Paolo Maldini, Paolo Montero, Yuri Nikiforiv, and Vitor Baia)

The defender's formation. In 5-3-2, it is blatanly obvious to use All Defense. This is for the strong defensive squad or the weak offensive squad.

In 4-5-1, use passing. This is another midfielder's formation. This time there is enough defense to play with five midfielders. But there is only one foward. If you are going to use this formation, the foward should only be Ronaldo, George Weah, or Patrick Kluivert.

It is not full proof, but sometimes when I am in a losing slump, I change formation and the strategy, and I am able win the next few games. Try it!
