CENTER ST. FIRE
 

Scully's tavern fire involved three separate building  and raged out of control for more than two hours.  The first report came in at 12:04 PM when a police officer going off duty spotted the fire on the way to his car.  Involved was Scully's tavern, Feder Furniture and the Franizoni block. Scully's tavern as well as Feder Furniture were a total loss and four out of six apartments were destroyed in the Franizoni block were burned. Arson is labeled as the cause of this fire. Injured were two tenants. one NAPD officer, one NAFD firefighter and one spectator. The fire was listed under control  at 1:50 am
