As a card carrying member of the skeptical community, I am sometimes accused of dismissing paranormal stuff without giving it a fair shake. Well, I can be convinced. No elaborate proof via the propositional calculus is required, a simple demonstration will suffice.
The reason I have faith in science is that it works. The way it works, we call technology. You can not watch TV, or surf the Net without being reminded that science works.
Where is the technology of the alternate way of knowing?
If you really want to convince me that ESP works, it is easy. Open a telegraph office. Western Union is in the business of moving information from point A to point B. Supposedly, ESP moves information from point A to point B also. Western Union requires the usage of the telephone network. ESP should be able to bypass the phone company completely, thereby saving much money. So, all you telepaths, get together and put Western Union out of business. Then I will believe.
