Ask Don!
Here is the first round of questions that Don answered. The questions were all numbered and the way the questions were chosen was to have Don randomly pick a number. If your question was not answered this time around, maybe he'll pick your number next time!!
..
1) Do you miss appearing on "Wild and Crazy Kids"?
..
Don: No. I miss some of the times that I was on tour, but I don't miss hosting.
..
2) How does it feel to have fans who come to see you wherever you are appearing?
..
Don: I think it's great. It's alot of fun and it makes you feel good....it's alot better than showing up and nobody's there for you, you know, to an empty room! It's neat to have the support, the more support the more fun for me and the fans.
..
3) What do you think of fan clubs? Some people frown on them, what's your opinion?
..
Don: I think they're neat. I don't know much about offline clubs, but I've done alot of research and the only problem with some are that they aren't done correctly. Sometimes they seem a little self indulgent. On the other hand, what we're doing is that we're producing a club that's not just about me, it's about the fans and their support. The reason why I do this and the reason that I allow the online fan club to take place is because these people support my career, which is my life, and without them and their support, I wouldn't feel like I was doing my job, which is to create a fantasy atmosphere about a fictional character. I love the support from these people and hope to see them follow me through my career.
..
4) Who do you share a dressing room with?
..
Don: Tim Gibbs
..
5) If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have 3 things, what would they be?
..
Don: A very beautiful and special woman,(a harem with an air conditioned cabin LOL), plenty of food, a really large bottle of good liquor, a video camera, a really nice, soft bed and mosquito netting.
..
6) What was your favorite cartoon as a child?
....
Don: My favorite cartoon was "Vultron" and I loved "Bugs Bunny". I was a cartoon maniac....I'd watch "Transformers" and I also loved "Robo Tech".
....
7) Have you done any state work? What are some of your favorite roles, and what do you find exciting about performing live?
..
Don: I started out in theater, that's they way I hooked onto my career choice. My favorite role in musical theater would be "Into the Woods", the part of Prince Charming and the part of Jack. I've played those parts before. As far as straight theater goes, I did a production of Robin Hood and I played "Much", the miller's son. The most satisfying thing about theater is the fact that you only get one chance. If you mess up, you improvise and go on. If a wall falls down you have to make it a part of the play, there's no stopping. You have to be on your toes to make it believable to the audience. You're on your own when you're up there and it's quite a rush. You're in character for 2 hours and that's alot different than daytime.
..
8) Did you have a nickname growing up by your friends and family? If so, what was it?
..
Don: Nope, I never did have a nickname. Even in college I never had a nickname. People would call me "The Donnster", but never something that "stuck".
..
9) Here's the infamous question......Boxers or briefs?
..
Don: Boxers....very rarely will you find me in briefs. I prefer the boxer/brief style.
