Tammy and I are both members of the Dierks volunteer ambulance service. Our service has about thirty members. We operate three ambulances strictly on a volunteer basis. We cover parts of three different counties. Tammy is currently the Treasure for our service and Roddy is the EMS Director.

Our service has been named the Basic Life Support Service of the year IN AR. in 1994 and 1996. we are currently an EBLS (Enhances Basic Life Support). We have montly meeting where we conduct business and get continuing Ed credit for recertification.
Roddy is a member of the Dierks volunteer fire and rescue team. The fire department has two pumpers and three tankers, jet ski and a rescue van. Our rescue team is trained for rope rescue, water rescue, dive teams, and vehicle extraction for the ambulance service. We respond whenever the ambulance service is called to any kind of accident.
Roddy has been a EMT for 8 1/2 years and fire fighter for 14 years he is also CPR instructor, haz- mat capt. fire brigade captain at Georgia Pacific regional faculity for American Heart Association. AR. lay evaluator ( test EMT students).
Roddy's awards........... (firefighter of the year in 1988) and (Ar. industrial EMT of the year in 1997) (First place Ar. industrial EMT team competition)
Tammy has been an EMT for six years. Tammy decided to get involed with EMS after her grandfather had been sick for several years and the ambulance service had responed several times to pick up her grandfather and the service was needing more EMT's she felt this would be very worth while.
