It is a time of struggle in the world, and with no order uniting Europe has caused many small kingdoms to form. All these former pieces have one idea rebuild the Roman Empire, and your kingdom will be the leader for hundreds of generations. However into this chaotic world comes a new threat. This problem known as Islam, a new religion in that day, had begun in another piece of the former empire, the Arabian peninsula, and was spreading across the world at a fast rate. The moors, one of the different races of Islam, quickly took out the Iberian Peninsula, and were spreading into Frankish conquered Gaul when the moors met Charles Martel, major dormo to the Merovingian kings, who got a miraculous victory against the moors in 732 A.D. Charles unknowingly had set in motion a path that would someday lead his grandson to be named Charles the Great or Charlemagne. Charlemagne born to Pepin III and Bertha in 746. He almost brought together all of Europe under his rule.
