The reason to save Taiwan is because it is indepedant democratic republic unlike the People Republic of China. Also, the Republic of China declared it's indepedence from the People Republic of China, and it would be hypocratical to not recognize a country like the USA was in 1776. The United States Of America has not recongnize Taiwan(Republic of China)since the Carter adminstratrion, but we continue to aid them military. During Clinton's recent trip to China, the president did not even recognize Taiwan's indepedence from Red China. Action must be taken to protect this free country from the red dragon.
