Pictures
This section has gotten so huge, I've split it into Rover stuff (below) and
non-Rover stuff (click here).
Rover stuff
An upper view of the Screaming Eagle, the mobile base of the Road Rovers "Blue Team", from the now-defunct fan series of the same name.
If you think you can do better than this, go here.
Recoil, one of the Quick
Strike's Cyctrons.
Greta as a member of the aforementioned
Blue Team. (Note that her uniform is pink, rather than the regular silver...
apparently, that's the description they gave for her.)
Again, if you think you can do
better than this, go here.
Stalker of Quick
Strike sitting in her cell.
Stalker again, this time wearing her exosuit.
(Either that or a green and white body-tight outfit.)
Hunter in space, complete with a spacesuit.
(Note the spacesuit's similarities to the regular uniform, except it's
all white, and as you'll see in the next series of pics where Colleen's
wearing one, it covers the tail.)
A series of pictures showing Colleen jumping from
outer space (more precisely, from orbit) into an ocean (in a spacesuit, of course).
Getting ready to jump from the Space Rover,
jumping, changing
position to decelerate (and note the "heat" in this picture), splashing
in the ocean, balloon deployed to get her up to
the surface.
A pic of the Space Rovers' Persia, wearing
an armor spacesuit, designed for combat and modeled off the Road Rovers'
uniform (note the helmet in her hand, the blue "belt" as opposed to red,
and the "backpack"). Knocked this one off in one day.
Another Persia in armor spacesuit pic, this time
shooting some unseen creature on some hostile moon. Note that the tail
is covered, unlike the normal RR uniform but more like the suits from my
previous pics. Knocked this off in one morning. Now don't ask why lately
I've been drawing Rovers in spacesuits... it's just that although the show
went into space twice, none of the Rovers actually wore spacesuits and this is kind of
my way of complaining.
Exile and Persia, shooting away evil on another
planet. Yes, yet another spacesuit pic. No prizes for guessing where I
got my idea for these suits from... Think of the phrase
"infinity and beyond". Yes, I'm talking about Buzz Lightyear,
probably Toy Story's coolest and most-popular character. Even got his
own show, I might add.
Hunter taking a leisure rest. Note the armor
on the shelf near him.
A design of mine for a space vehicle for the
Rovers. And yes, it's sort of inspired by the Sonic Rover... (Bear with
me, people, as I am not that good in drawing vehicles.)
Exile in a spacesuit again, again with the
Buzz Lightyear look, this time, solo.
Exile dives into the Earth's
atmosphere.
Colleen,
posing in somewhat minimal armor. I ripped this design off this pic
by Andrew Dickman of VCL.
Here's Exile being
teleported into his spacesuit... you'll see. 1 2
3 4 5
By combining elements from previous pics, I created 2 pics in
the same day. (OK, you can stop calling me a cheat now.) Here's the first one. Persia might be a girl, but she's a tough
cookie (otherwise she wouldn't be leading the Space Rovers now would she?).
That's why she's wearing the male Space Ranger suit, rather than the female
version. This pic shows the difference.
Since I drew Exile in a solo pic, I decided, hey, why not Persia? So
that's what I did.
Colleen in "tactical" armor. Seeing
Dylan's pic
of Hunter wearing some, I decided to draw Colleen, since her body
is different from the others, if you know what I mean ;-). According to
Dylan, this armor is a
concept of Rich Barrere.
I showed him this pic, and look at what he said:
Hi there. Nice pic, you got all the little details of the armor in there. Good job.
Yet another space pic.
And once again, I ripped off a design I saw on VCL,
this time by "Aalbaich"...
just thought that it looked cool. (I did modify it quite a bit though.)
Another Persia pic, this time done without cheating.
Persia and Colleen, pulling maximum g's in a space vessel,
like that one from way above.
A group pic of some of the Space Rovers,
from Robert Baer's fanfic series.
A female wolf-sapien, inspired by a throwaway scene
towards the end of "Fur of Dog" (see below).
Space Rover Alexander, in a hyperspace suit based on
the work of "Spiderfox".
My first pencil-and-paper Rover art, Colleen wearing
some cool "dragon armor", and here's the color version.
Yet another space armor design, based off a design by David Ashmore.
My interpretation of a scene from Gerhard Naude's
fanfic "Planet Buster",
in which Illanov (left) and Exile are arguing with Corsair (the human) about
their nations' space achievements (meanwhile, Hunter is saluting the American
flag). If you think you can do better than this, go here.
Another stab at the Blue Team's Greta, this time,
her whole body. If you think you can do better than this, go here.
Space Rover Tammy, wearing the Elite Space Rover armor
(that's what I'm calling it) and firing a weapon.
Alex in hyperspace, this time in action.
Another "Exile in Buzz Lightyear suit" pic, this time using his freeze vision to minimize the effects of reentry on his suit while flying straight into Earth's atmosphere.
The new and imporived Elite Nova Space Rover armor, with its new abilites (flying and ghosting) demonstrated by Persia and Sheena. Yeah, I ripped this situation off from the Buzz Lightyear cartoon (even the name and the armor's new ability is derived from the cartoon: Mira Nova and her ghosting ability).
A group pic of various Space Rovers in their Elite Novas.
Revisiting an old "topic" I drew, it's a random Elite Space Rover operative being teleported into her suit.
Bringing together my two favorite drawing subjects of late, here's Tammy spaceboarding (more spaceboarding in the non-Rover section!) into Earth's atmosphere wearing Elite Space Rover armor.
Another from the "boredom" department. I took an exising "official" picture of Colleen, and re-imagined it into two of my previous spacesuit designs.
Also from the "boredom" department, I took a screen grab of Colleen, and redid it to look like she's making a kick in space.
Non-Rover stuff
The Detention twins, Lemonjella and
Orangejella, with the
Buzz Lightyear look. That's a handheld Orangejella's writing on, BTW.
Another pic of our girl astro-geniuses. This
time, I tried to draw them looking up.
And this pic here
features Cree Summer's character from Disney's Sabrina cartoon,
Chloe... she happens to be my favorite character from that show. (Still
going with the Buzz Lightyear look... again, bear with me, people.)
Another non-Rover pic. This one's based on
characters created by Todd Zircher.
Apparently, he created a couple of furry inspred mecha, and made 2 of the
pilots female. More precisely, sisters. Left is Amanda Fox, right is
Desmona. Anyways, here they are, wearing their so-called VR suits
(apparently, they're the daughters of the inventor of the suits' circuitry)
and standing against a background of stars. (I sent this to Zircher, and he
said it was a pleasant surprise for him.)
Another non-Rover pic. Seems like I've been on
a binge of these lately. (I drew these in the summer when school's out.)
This one is Lemonjella LaBelle (see above), taking care of her floating
laptop. (And if the background
is somewhat crummy, bear with me, I couldn't of anything more decent... it
was yet another one-day pic for me.)
Another pic of Zircher's characters. This
time, it's background-free. Cool pose, huh?
After all those done by computer pics, how about some pencil on paper
pics? Here's a series of pics based on the Hey Arnold! fic Sid's Schnoz:
Arnold and Sid at the swings, Sid and Rhonda in the cafeteria,
Arnold and Gerald at Gerald Field, Rhonda and Sid at Chez Paris, Arnold and Sid in the
bathroom, and Sid and Nadine.
Cupcake, from a series of stories by a
friend of Doug
Winger's... but while this pic is fine and "clean", the story itself
is not. Women with, uh, male sex organs... and I'm not kidding.
Lately, I've been getting into the joy (or rather lack of it) of IRC.
I've done some drawings based on my nickname SpiderBraids... here
they are: SB holds her thumbs up,
SB gets kicked
More pencil-to-paper contributions to the Hey Arnold! fandom: this
series of pics inspired by Rocket Power's "Race Across New Zealand":
Sid "zorbs"
Gerald rafts in a cave... watch out for those
stalactites, Tall Hair Boy
Arnold windsurfs around a buoy
Phoebe snowboards (IMO, my best pic of the bunch)
I've redone the Phoebe snowboarding pic from above, and here it is, this time,
with bindings. Tho I still think it looks better than the rest.
Noelle and Hoodsey of As Told By Ginger.
And if you wonder why Noelle's hand is in Hoodsey's hood... just thought
I'd add a little Lightyear influence: Mira Nova (that's Buzz's female partner
in the TV series based on the character, in case you don't know... and if you
ask me, she's the best part of the show) can read minds by putting
her hand in someone's head, so I thought, "now what if Noelle could
do that?". (As it were, at the time I knew that she would later be revealed
to be telekinetic in another ep.)
Not a pic, but just yesterday I found a bunch of
Sims skins inspired by Nicktoons I'd made sometime back, so I picked the best ones out and put
them in a Zip. We've got the All Grown Up versions of Tommy Pickles and
Lil Deville, Angelica's dad Drew Pickles, Otto Rocket and Nadine from Hey
Arnold!. Enjoy. Click here to check out the skins.
(I know, there's no Tommy, that's because the preview program I used to
make the pics of the skins didn't support Tommy's particular "mesh"... and
it's a standard mesh.)
The above Noelle and Hoodsey pic, in color.
Pointless crossover time again. This time,
we have Phoebe from Hey Arnold! tapping fingers with Orangejella
from Detention. Their common factor: they're both
the brains on their respective shows. Now, I've tried hard to make
Orangejella crouch right, and it still doesn't look right, well at
least in my opinion anyway.
The first batch of New Zealand pics, in color (same order as above): 1 2 3 4
More pics from New Zealand:
Sid gets some air with his snowboard
The team on the bus... note Sid's reaction to seeing
a car pass by them on the "wrong" side
Gerald has a tough time staying on his dirtboard
Grandpa Phil keeps his 2 eyes on the race with
a pair of binoculars
Phoebe burns up the mountain bike course
Phoebe gets shaken around in her zorb
Phoebe sulks on a log
The above in color (again, same order as above):

Another bunch of Sims skins, this time
inspired by Eliza Thornberry's looks in her 2 films, The Wild Thornberrys
Movie and Rugrats Go Wild. Enjoy. Click here to check out the skins.
This pic here was inspired by
this pic by Mathieu Cloutier...
I was thinking "New extreme sport, huh? Gotta get Rocket Power's Reggie Rocket to try this." So... I did.
BTW, the splodges on the earth below are meant to be the west coast of America and Hawaii, and some cloud cover.
A quick pencil sketch of the gang from "The Weekenders".
Enough said.
Phoebe Sings The Blues, a crossover pic of sorts between Hey Arnold! and All Grown Up!.
And here's an alternative version I made, wishing All Grown Up! all the best.
Kim Possible, in a powersuit from the Metroid games. Looks cool on her, doesn't it?
Another stab at drawing "spaceboarding", once again featuring
Reggie Rocket, and this time, her new
stepmom Noelani ("Island of the Menehune", "The Big Day", "New Girl in Town", "After Shocked").
The All Grown Up! gang in laser-tag outfits. I posted at the Nickdisk
board that there should be an ep of All Grown Up! centered around laser tag. I wasn't posting this out of the blue...
there was an ep which Dil spent most of preparing for a laser tag match... it ended on something involving aliens, without actually showing him
playing said match. Anyways, I posted that, and I was thinking, "Hey, wouldn't
that make a good idea for a fanpic?"
Another personal take on Cloutier's spaceboarding pic... only this time, I use
Cloutier's original "character" and draw her holding up her thumb as if to say, "Okay, I'm ready!"
Reggie Rocket again, spaceboarding again,
re-entering the atmosphere this time here.
Spaceboarding must be my new fetish... to close 2004, I drew
Reggie Rocket, again, this time with her best friends Trish and Sherry (and
yes, these are actually characters on the show), getting ready to go.
Picking up where I left off with Todd Zircher's mechs,
my first picture of 2005 is this picture of Amanda Fox's mech, the Arctic Fox,
doing an orbital drop. Inspired by Zircher's picture of Amanda sitting in
her cockpit during such a drop. See that picture, and Zircher's other Amanda pics here. (For some reason, perhaps related to me, Zircher pulled his VCL gallery off the site in late July 2005.)
Kim Possible again, this time, dressed as one of
those Space Ranger from Buzz Lightyear's show, except with her trademark
bare navel.
Steve Burt's character Lilac. I came across this pic, and reading the accompanying description (scroll down for it), decided to draw the armor she used to wear.
Another borrowing from Elfwood. This space armor drawn by Jeffrey D. Block looked cool to me, so I decided to put it in action, so to speak.
My attempt to do fanart for both the popular webtoon Homestar Runner and Codename: Kids Next Door. The girl is Marzipan, the scoop is from "Op FLAVOR" (essentially, a story about ice-cream, Indiana Jones style). Eh, I was bored.
The last pic I uploaded to my Tripod space before getting my PhotoBucket account. It's the Rocket Power gang in spaceboarding suits. (And they've all been posed in poses that they've been in in "official" pics of the characters.)
Noelani Rocket's back on terra firma, and getting some snowboarding lessons from stepdaughter Reggie.
The result of taking an unhealthy obsession with Winx Club and mixing it with a slightly less unhealthy love for Codename: Kids Next Door. (Okay, if you think you've seen them in this pose before... you probably have.) In fact, I eventually extended the whole project to draw one picture from every episode of the first season (in pencil, to boot). The results are in this album.
My first dabble into 3D CG with DoGA. Soon after Todd Zircher dumped his VCL gallery, I asked if I could have his pics. I got the next best thing: his DoGA models. After downloading a copt of DoGA, I went out to recreate the original "Sisters" pic (above) in 3D. And here it is.
Two offshoots of the "Winx Next Door" project: Tecna and her broom and bucket from "Grounded", and the gang standing behind Tecna and her "firewall" from "More Than High School", both in glorious color.
Under the "because I had nothing else to do" department, it's a satirical billboard based on Dateline Hollywood's article satirizing NBC's long-running reliance on the drama Law and Order.
Breezy Copeley in a spaceboarding outfit with a board. Another character from Rocket Power, BTW.
Just in time for Torino 2006, I decided to make this pic a tribute to the Winter Olympians and Paralympians, featuring Lizzie, a girl with a pipe leg who appeared in one ep of Rocket Power (yes, that's Reggie holding a flag). I made the clouds look like the Torino Paralympics logo, and added rocks to the snow to look like the Torino Olympics logo. Brill, eh?
Noelani again. This time, it's an attempt to redesign the character in a similar way to Miguel Chavez's attempts. Uh... yeah.
