It's Cupid, Stupid
Recaplet by SpiderBraids So, you've got a bunch of kids and their crushes. You've got Dil trying to help some kid voiced by Lil Romeo named Lil Q (yuck) who can't throw a hackeysack for nuts. You've got Chuckie calling being Tommy's best friend "the [only mistake] I've been making for the last nine years", as he's convinced that Tommy is stealing Nicole ["Chuckie's In Love"] from him for the upcoming Valentine's Dance (despite the fact that Tommy's telling them, both, otherwise). You've got Susie receiving twice as much hate as Tommy over just about the same thing too (Angelica and Kimi, over Sean and that kid from [["Bad Kimi"]]). I assume that the viewers make the connection pretty fast between the Lil Romeo's little problem and everyone else's major problems, while the characters are totally clueless over what the heck is going on (for example, when Nicole inevitably falls in love with Chuckie again, Tommy thinks it's "that old Finster magic" that does the trick). Heck, the story never even makes the (glaring and obvious) connection between its title and the stuff Lil Romeo's character has been doing for a good 22 minutes. If there's an antithesis to Anviliciousness, this is probably it. And Phil and Susie? Get out of town, bucko. But hey, at least we get a scene of Spike falling in love with a vacuum cleaner out of all that ;) |
