The Wild Thornberrys Movie
by SpiderBraids Okay, now to deal with the fence. Eliza has to Think Fast (anyone remember that old Nick game show?). Apparently, she's still wearing the bravery medal she got on the night after the cheetah incident, which was like, a week ago. So she takes it off, and throws the bling-bling at the fence, causing it to electrocute itself. Uh... yeah. Anyways, the elephants stop. But they're not out of the woods (or valley, in this case) just yet, since there are more explosions going off. Eliza has to Think Fast again ("How can I make you understand me?") , and suddenly remembers what Phaedra told her the day of the cheetah incident (Remember her? The elephant E&D were riding waaaaay back at the start?). She puts her foot on the elephant's ear, and it's turning around, and they're all turning around. But they're STILL not out of the woods or valley. Sloan orders his cronies to start shooting, and he's dealing with the girl himself. Eliza suddenly finds herself in the same position she was a week or so ago: hanging from a helicopter's rope ladder. Deja vu, anyone? She yells at Sloan: "What you're doing is awful!" The response: "What you're doing is stupid! Shame you won't be here to help me carry out the ivory..." Well, I always said there was a thin line between nobility and stupidity... And then she gets thrown into a waterfall. Great, another waterfall! So, with Eliza out of the running, nothing's stopping the Blackburns from opening fire against the elephants. The elephants are so screwed, right? Nope, it's the Blackburns who get screwed, as they descend to get a good shot... and the elephants tug on the rope ladder, causing them to crash to the ground. Seriously. So you can say all you want about Eliza's heroics, but ultimately, she lucks out on this one somewhat... ...as she drifts past D&B and their bike in the river towards the Shaman, and grabs his stick. His walking stick, before you think of anything else... Braceface apologizes profusely for breaking the rule to begin with ("I couldn't get them [the elephants] to listen"). I question her claim that it really made a difference, but anyway. Shaman sez "But you did save them... see for yourself," as the elephants get to where they are right now, and adds: "If this is what you can do without your powers? You have an even greater destiny than I even known" ...And you will have seen him saying this in the promo. Blech! Anyways, so he decides to give her back her powers, but decides that there's one condition... "About your sister. How well do you think she can keep your secret?" Okay, this is creepy. First he just happens to be where Eliza is drifting to, and he knows that she told about it to save Spazz. Riiiight. Anyways, as the eclipse ends, the Blackburns are surrounded by the elephants, Jomo, and the family. As Jomo arrests them, Bree tells them they were just trying to save the elephants. Dudes, your jig is up. So the Shaman's given back Eliza's powers, and D&B pick her up in their bike. Boko immediately christens her "brat sister" (Deb: "Dunno where he got that"). They pass the chimp, and Eliza gets off to pick him up. He's saying to himself, "I'll just sit here quietly and observe" as Eliza says to him, "Yeah. Like that'll ever happen." And then the sibs run into their parents. Ahh... Meanwhile, Boko has to go home now. Debbie tells him to keep her beeping watch as a token of their friendship or something. After a final goodbye, he runs into the forest. So Boko was useful... how? Eliza and Nigel, sitting on a cliff, t-a-l-k-i-n-g about elephants. Nigel wonders why they do this gathering. Eliza gets philosophical... "Maybe the elephants feel safe." "Safe?" "Yeah, Maybe because it's the one day that everything changes. The little moon blocks the powerful sun..." and then Nigel goes on to talk about hope that the elephants may some day live without fear of man's greed. Pretty good stuff there. Anyways, one of the elephants (Phaedra, maybe?) hands her back the bravery medal. Britdad: "I don't know of course, but I swear she's thanking you" Braceface: "...I think so too dad." |
