The Wide Angle

Have you ever needed a bath chair, grab rails or other safety-related equipment for your bath or shower but have been stymied by labels that said "holds up to 250 pounds" or, worse yet, has no weight rating but just looks like it can't hold you? Well, here's your chance to make a difference.
Jon Kern, product manager for Guardian Products, wants YOUR input to develop "a new line of bath safety equipment for consumers who need higher weight capacities. Intuitively, I know there is a need."
Since Guardian is a California-based company, Jon is excited about the possibilities of working with us on this project. If you have any personal experiences or observations that could help him, pass them along. You can send them to the SC-SAC post office box and we will forward them (anonymously, if you wish). Or you can send them direct to: Guardian Products, 4175 Guardian Street, Simi Valley, CA 93063, Attn: Jon Kern.
He may also be reached by e-mail at: sebk@AOL.com or by phone at 805-579-2736, if anonymity is not an issue for you.
When you respond, send the Coalition a note or copy of correspondence so we can keep track of our members' responses. This kind of data helps us show the media and other "outside" sources that the Coalition is a worthwhile resource for their organizations. It also helps us track the organizations that we work with and check on how much our actions change society. If, five years from now, sturdier bath chairs are easily available, it may well be because you took the time to let one company know exactly what you need.
