Tired of treadmills with narrow belts and weak motors? The new Image
WideStride Duo 48 solves the problem. The belt (the moving part you walk
on) is 48 inches wide and is powered by a 3 horsepower motor, twice as powerful
as most treadmill motors. An article in Walking Magazine says this piece
of equipment was designed so two exercisers can use it without taking turns
as long as they want to walk at the same speed and incline. It also includes
two bookracks. Still, this sounds like a great solution for those of us who
want a machine that will hold up to a body of substance. The price is definitely
high-end for home use at $6,995 but some insurance programs may cover some
or all of the cost with a doctor's prescription. It would also make a great
addition to gyms and wellness centers who say they want to be size-friendly.
Who says that the only athletics fat people participate in is Sumo wresting.
Fat tri-athlete DaveAlexander is a 52-yr. old who proves the
theory wrong. A triathlon is a one-mile swim, 25-mile bike ride followed
by a 6.2 mile run. At 5'8" and 250 lbs., Dave has competed in 262 triathlons
and is on his way to Russia to compete in still another. Good-luck Dave way
to go!
Fat is where it's at in Egypt. Egyptian men are making the full figure popular
in their country where such full bodied women as actress Laila Alwi,
who weighs in at around 300 lbs., all the rage. Alwi and women like her are
considered natural beauties who are very desirable.
It seems that advertisers in Egypt have also acknowledged the current trend
in body preference. They are now featuring the full-figured look in their
mass marketing campaigns.
