Where has this year gone? Do you find yourself asking that same question? I know I do almost every day. The Holiday’s are a busy time with family and friends but lets try and take time to remember those who may not have anyone to share them with. See if you can spend some time with those less fortunate. Visit shut-ins and nursing homes if only for a couple hours. Ask if you can bring your kids too…sometimes it will light someone’s life to see the smile of a child filled with the joy of the season.
In this issue you will find a message from your new President, Kimberly Moore. We are planning some new changes for the Coalition. We hope you will be as excited about them as we are. It’s hard to believe that plans are being made for International No-Diet Day ’98. Last year’s event laid the groundwork for what we hope will be an annual tradition.
Speaking of planning, it is time to think about the Big As Texas event to be held in Houston, Texas, in March 1998. A group of us attended last year’s event and loved rubbing elbows with our Texas family in size acceptance. If you are interested in attending let us know. See the information inside for details.
