Well, we've been around for a little more than two years now -- it's been hectic, it's been maddening at times, and it's been fun. But we're now to the point where we feel ready to try to live up to our name as a Southern California group, not just a San Diego group. There's been some increasing interest in Coalition and Coalition-like activities from people in Orange County, so we're establishing the Orange County Committee, and are looking for a Chair/Coordinator. The OCC would report to the Board, have input into Coalition scheduling and decisions, and be responsible for Orange County activities of the Coalition. More importantly, it would give our Orange County members and subscribers a more direct ownership of the Coalition, and reason to be involved.
Eventually, we hope to expand to a full-fledged presence in Orange County, perhaps even establishing a "chapter" there. But we can't do so until and unless we have you -- the leaders of the future.
