Dear Friends,
The Canossa Convent Secondary School in Malacca has been in existence
for over
90 years. The school started in 1905 with only a few classes and four
Canossian Sisters as teachers. Today from that first seed, we have a primary
school in
Jalan Parameswara
and a secondary school in Portuguese Settlement. Our school is
not fully-aided by the government since the land belongs to the Mission.
As
such, we have to carry out various fund raising projects to help run and
maintain the school.
In 1981, due to the foresight of the then principal , Sr. Marie Stella
Dorasamy, and Sr. Angelica Piazza (past principal), the Canossa Relief
Trust was set up with the noble objective of helping the marginalised
students of the school. Since then, many students have benefitted
from this Fund.
On behalf of the Board of Governors, the Parent-Teacher Association
, staff and students , I would like to appeal to your kind
generosity to contribute towards our Trust Fund. I am sure your
contribution, small or big, will go a long way towards helping
our poor and needy students either in the form of examination fees,
school fees, uniform, canteen allowances, etc.
Kindly make your cheque/bank draft/money order to :
CANOSSA RELIEF TRUST
and send it to : The Mother Superior
Canossa Relief Trust
