Yes, Idhu Oru Manidhanin Kadhai Alla - Oru Nadikannin Kadhai.
I myself decide to give you all this Mallarum Ninaivugal. When he gave his MN in DD he title it "Netru, Indru, Indru". This was happened in 1980. I think this actor's carrier is started before some of us born; that is his carrier as a Man. Even his carrier starts before I born.
I think it was 1958 or 1960 ( I am not sure), a very popular producer went to a marriage. He saw a boy who is so cute and very mischief. He asked him "Thambi, en padhathila Nadikiraya?", athuku andha paiyan "Ennku, Pomeranian nai vangi thanthingana Nadikiren" apidinu sonnan. That producer agreed with him and he acted in that film. (clue 1)
Again that boy made one record he was the first kid acted double role. Then that boy acted in some more films. After that he joined in Hindu School - Triplicane, Madras. (Clue 2).
He is not good in his studies, he was much interested in Dance, Drama etc. So his mother took him to great drama actor T.K.Shanmugam. There he learnt a lot. Today this actor is telling that it was a University Of Arts for him. (clue 3).
In early 70s he started acting in the movies. He acted as a supporting artists. Who acted with him his first film when he was a child artists also acted in that movie. He only recommended our man to this film. Actually so many child artists acted in that movie after they become elder. They are Kutti Padmini, Master Sridhar etc. But now our man only the famous actor through out the country. (clue 4).
After that movie (OK. I will tell the name of the film "Kurathi Magan") he did not get any chance. Then he joined as a assistant dance master to Mr.Dhangapan (clue 5. Now Netters may now find out our man).
Mr.Dhangappan was famous dance master, even big actors also call him 'Master'. Mr.Dhangappan directed the film "Annai Vellankanni". Our man assisted him in the direction area too. He acted as Jesus Christ in that film ( now Netters surly find out who This actor is).
Still he was working a assistant dance master. He was the dance master for MGR's film, "Nan En Prianden". After seeing him, MGR told our man "Enna Thambi Eppadi Ellachu irukkeenga, Nan sila Exercise solli tharen adhai dhinamum saiyunga". There it self MGR taught him some exercises.
Still our man doing those exercises and still he look like a youth. When he was working for a film (I don't know the film's name) in which the actor who recommended him for his first movie, Nam alLai parthu acharya pattu "Ennada Madiya, intha valaiellam saiyara?" appidinar, Unde namma aLlu "Enna Sir saiyardhu, chance kidaikaliye" appidinu sonnar. Athuku avar "Sarida, KB oru pudhu alL venum sonnar, avar kitta unai recommend pannaren" appidnu soli he took him to KB's house. After seeing him KB put him as a Villain in his film "Arenketram". Actually he is not a villain in that movie, he ignored his elder sister because of her character. Now you all should know who is this person.
Then he acted in lot of KB's movies. What he told our man "Unnal Mudiyum Kamal , Unnal Mudiyum" appidinu solli namkku oru nalla actor kidaika vazhi vaguthar. We have to thank KB. Kamalluku Naai vangi tharadha sonnavar Thiru. AVM avargal. Kamaloda mudhal mudhala act pannavar Mr.' Gemini' Ganesan. He acted as a father in the first film. He also acted in Kamal's first movie as a teenager or a manly character.
As I told in KB's MN, Kamal acted in his all movies form " Arenketram" to "Nool VEli" without any break. There was a break started after 47 Natkkal. KB only give him a character role in "Aval Oru Thodar Kadhai". He acted in the same character in Malayalam, Telugu, Bengali, Oriya. He didn't act in Hindi version. He acted as a bus conductor in Kanada Version, that is the only movie he acted with Suhasini.
His first film was "Kalathur Kannama", His 100th film was "Raja Parvai". He got twice National Award for Best Actor. No other Tamil film personality got twice. He won Filmfare award for 16 times. He is not only popular in Tamil, but also in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannadam and Hindi. As you know he is a good singer too. His first song is in the film "Andharangam" and the song is "Naiyiru Olli Mazhaiel Thingal Kullika Vandhal". Mr. Sp. Muthuraman utilised him fully. He started acting different kinds of roles after "16 Vayadhinile". Then also he acted as a routine hero in many movies. Mr. G.N. Rangarajan again strike back. He gave us "Palyana" Raman in "Kalyana Raman". His ambition is changed after "Raja Parvai" only. Then he started acting only different kinds of characters. Sagala Kala Vallavan allava avar, mostly he never used dups. So, he met with more accidents. I can't agree for his award for Moondram Pirai and Nayagan. Because, the climax of Moondram Pirai which was made for him only. Actually Sri Devi dominates that film at the climax only Kamal did well. I can't tolerate that a head master was afraid of police in that film. He can straight away talk to Sri Davi's parents in that film. Then in Nayagan, very sorry he over acted in few scenes like Ravi's death and while talking to Krithiga.
He should be given awards for 16 Vaydhinile, Raja Parvai, Maha Nadhi, Devar Magan,Guna, Kokila (Kanadam), Avargal, Marocharithra (Telugu), Sagara Sangaman ( Telugu), Swathi Muthiyam ( Telugu). He should get awards for his novel ideas like Appu's role in Apporva Sagothararkal and Michael, Madhana, Kama, Rajan. He did all the 4 roles not only in a different style but also all roles in a single frame. No other actor did this in the Indian Film Industry He should get national awards for all the films for which he got Filmfare award.
Recently Kamal produced and acted in Kurudhippunal. Which came for Oscar from India. It his fifth film came for Oscar Nomination. Other films are Nayagan, Sagar, Sagara Sangamam, Devar Magan. Kamal Come out with another venture, which is Indhiyan. It is dam good and the Old man character can’t be done by any other person in recent Tamil Film world. He recently got Filmfare - Best actor award for Kurudhippunal. Which is 16th time. No other actor in the Indian Film industry get more than 15 times. His Indhiyan made a big change in Tamil films. Which is the first film produced with DTS sound system and used different kind of Make Up. This film earned Rs.15 crores in Tamil and 7 crores in Telugu. It is yet to realse in Hindi and going to release on 15th August 96.
Some of the distinct roles by Kamal, Deaf and Dumb in Uyarthavargal, Physically Handicapped in 16 Vayadhinile, Blind Man in Rajaparvai, Ventriculisar in Avargal, Mimicry Performer in Aval Oru Thodar Kathai, Mentally Upset person in Sigappu Rojakkal. He acted as 100 year old witch in a Malayalam film, which was dubbed in to Tamil too.
He and Super Star Rajinikanth acted together in Apporvaragangal, Mundru Mudichu, Avargal, Adu Puli Attam, 16 Vayadhinele, Illamai Unjaladukiradhu, Thappu Thalangal (Kamal Guest Role), Thai Illamal Nan Illai (Rajini Guest Role), Neenaithale Innikkum Allavudeenum Arpudha Villakkum , Thillu Mullu (Kamal Guest Role), Girafthar (Hindi, Rajini Guest Role). There is a similarity between him and Rajini, that is Rajini - Sri Devi 12 films and also Kamal - Sri Devi 12 films (i.e. Hero & Heroine)
He acted with Nadigar Thilagam in Palum Pazhamum (As a child Artist in Duel role) Nam Pirandha Man, Sathyam, Devar Magan. The lone film he acted with MGR is Anandha Jothi As Child Artist.
He is the good singer. After Andharangam, he only sung in Sigappu Rojakkal. Once Y.G.Mahendra congratulated KJ.Yesudhas for the song "Sundari Neeyum..." in MMKR, and KJY replied him "It is a good song, but Kamal sung that song". YGM was acharya pattufy after hearing that.
Kamal directed the film Sankarlal partially after the death of the director of the film MR.T.N.Balu. He never acted in Director Mahendran’s film. Kamal sing for Mohan in the film Oh, Mane Mane Mane.
I admire this great actor. Every one says Shivaji is the Marlene Prando of India. It is not correct. Kamal is the Marlene Prando of India. Oruthar oru mozhi padathil peiyar vangaradhu kashtam aAnal Kamal is popular in all the southern language movies. Now,he is not acting in Malayalam and Kanda films. He is the legend of this generation. New comers should learn from him and should not copy him.
