How-to Groom a Horse

There are ususally 5 brushed associated with grooming, here they are:
The soft brush is used first. The soft brush is a medium sized brush that's bristles are soft (well, duh!). It's used to get rid of any dirt of shavings lying loosey on the horses back, its also used to bring oil in the coat to the top. It's used in long sweeping strokes all over the horses body.
After the soft brush comes the curry comb. It's used to get out mud, dirt and dust that is in the horses coat. it is used on the BODY only, never the legs. The cury comb is used in hard circualr motions to get the dirt out. Horses love it.
Next is the hard brush. It is used to get rid of the dirt and dust left on the horses coat after being curried (there will be, the curry comb loosens it and brings it to the top). You use it in hard sweeping motions on the horses BODY only. It will get rid of any dust or anything on the horses coat.
Next is the curry mit. It is used on the horses face and legs to clean them. It is used in a rubbing motion to loosen any dirt and mud from the horses legs, but not too hard. Do the same for their face.
After you're done with the curry mit, use the soft brush again to get rid of anything off the horse and a final polishing. Use it all over the horse.
Last is the hoof pick. It is probably one of the most important parts of grooming. Facing the horses rear pick up the hoof in your hand and slide your hand down the horses leg. At the bottom gently pull the horses hoof up (the horse should lift it for you) and clean the hoof out. To clean the hoof out you take the hoof pick and scrape the dirt out, facing away from you and the horse. If the horse is wearing padded shoes go until you get the the pads, and if the horse isn't waering padded shoes, clean the hoof into a V-shape. Here's a pic:
