My Story
Precious is the school pony I ride, I don't own her and I never will. I dream about owning her, but its a dream. She's an amazing pony.
She can jump lines like a horse can, and sometimes in less strides. She can jump over 3 feet (I can't!) and show's on the trillium circuit. She's one
heck of a pony! I don't know exactly what breed she is but I think she's a Welsh Pony, TB, arab cross. She sort of lokks like a TB, holds
her head like an Arab and fits the characteristics of a Welsh Pony. I've been riding her for just over 2 years and we've shown together a bit.
She's a great show pony! The background is a picture of us at a show, except it can't be seen to well. She's a great pony. At out first
out of barn show, I was really nervous! I had braided her the night before, and even though my braids sucked, she was adorable! Our first
calls was Walk, Trot. BEcause of the arrangments we had made, instead of taking the 4 horse trailer, they took the 2 horse, let one horse finish his
classes, bring him back and bring Precious there, we were a bit late. I had a quick warm up and entered the ring. Precious was hyper, because
she knew it was a show and wouldn't stop trotting when we entered the ring to warm up a bit before the class started. Then she calmed down
and was just great for me! We came in 2nd. I was so excited! But I had Walk, Trot, Canter right after, so I handed the ribbon to my instructor
and got ready for the next class. We did everything the judge said, but we didn't get a ribbon. I didn't mind, there were 30 people in every class
and it was my first show!! The next class was trotting Poles to an X, the hated class (my opinion!!!! *LOL!!*) I screwed up SO bad! First of all,
she refused the first set. Then I got her over it and she wouldn't halt. Then she cantered at the next set. By then I was really annoyed! So
I finished up and left the ring. Then I had 4X's next. Yeah! I won 5th place in it. Then was 5X's. A horrid class, well, the way I did it made it horrid!
I broke pace, had refusaks, not enough strides etc..... I didn't pin there! I did about the same in the next show, but I got a 3rd in Walk, Trot,
a 3rd in Walk, Trot, Canter and a 4th in 4X's. The same thing happened!! Well, I'd better go now, and bore you with more details later.
