Our story begins in the city of Tokyo. Serena and her friends are planning to go to
the Tenth Grade Orientation Party held each year for the new-coming high school
students.
“So will you come with us?” Serena’s voice was heard over the phone.
“I dunno, I’m not real big on parties, and besides, I have to work at the temple,”
Rei ’s tongue was regretful but honest.
“Please come Rei, I know you’ll have fun,” Serena said in an assured tone. “Then
you will thank me.”
“Serena, I don’t know…”
“Please, please, please, PLEASE!?!?“ Serena begged before Rei could finish.
“Oh, all right, I’ll come, but Grandpa better not find out,” Rei said with a hint of
annoyance in her voice. “Now stop your whining already!”
“Then we’ll meet you there,” Bunny said with a squeal of delight.
The phone conversation ended and Rei began to prepare herself for the party. She
really didn’t want to go to ‘some dumb party’ but she knew if she didn’t, Serena would go
crazy and start one of her world famous temper tantrums.
When Serena arrived at the school, the others were waiting for her in the lobby.
She waved with a big, warm smile crossing her face. She expected a warm welcome and
was appalled at the response.
“Where have you been?! We have been waiting here /forever/!” Rei was angry with
Serena as usual, but also appreciative after she noticed the clump of hot guys standing
next to the punch table.
“Serena can be a total ditz sometimes, but I’m glad I came. Maybe I can pick up a
date!” Rei thought to herself with a smirk and a snicker as she rubbed her hand together
as if she had come up with some sinister plan.
“Rei? Are you feeling all right?” Ami asked, sounding concerned. “Do you need me
to walk you to the restroom?”
Rei suddenly woke up from her daydream and said “No, no. I’m all right. Now how
about that party?”
They went into the main room where Serena caught sight of the concession table
and was off in a flash. The others followed closely behind to make sure she didn’t do
anything to embarrass them.
When the party was over, the friends gathered around the fountain outside of their
new school.
“Oh, Serena, I forgot I was supposed to thank you,” said Rei in an angry/annoyed
voice as she clenched her fist next to her face. “THANKS FOR DRAGGING ME TO THE
LAMEST PARTY ON THE PLANET!!!!” At this point Rei had forgotten the thought of
thankfulness she had towards Serena at the beginning of the party (Mainly because she
didn’t get a date and not one guy talked to her) and turned it all into anger.
“How was I supposed to know it was going to be lame?!” Serena shouted
defensively.
“Oh, spare me,” Lita said (with a sweat droplet) as Serena and Rei continued their
quarrel in the background.
“I didn’t think it was all /that/ bad,” Ami stated sincerely. “I had a very interesting
conversation with a science professor about how the TV/Sound System/VCR/Computer
works.”
“So that’s where you were,” said Lita as another giant sweat droplet rolled down
the side of her face.
“I thought it was all right also,” Mina suddenly burst in. “There were a lot of cute
guys and I think one of them had a crush on me!” she said while blushing and clasping her
hands together. “He was SO cute and he even talked to me! His specific words were; ‘Um,
excuse me ma’am, you have something green in your teeth’ and then after that he left. I
think he was playing hard-to-get and you could defiantly tell he was head-over-heels for me
and totally cupid struck.”
“Love struck,” Ami corrected.
“Whatever. *Sigh* I am so irresistible!”
“Oh, brother,” Lita and Ami grumbled in unison as more giant sweat droplets slid
down the sides of their faces.
“Are you two done yet?” Lita said, changing the subject. “Hello…Hey you guys,
answer m…” but she was interrupted by the odd look on their faces. (None of the other 3
had noticed that Serena and Rei had stopped fighting a long time ago) They had a dazed
yet confused look and had their heads turned up towards the sky. “What in the world?”
Lita thought to herself.
That was when Lita finally decided to look up and see what all the fuss was about.
When she turned her head up, her eyes grew large and her mouth opened. She put up her
hand to cover her mouth just as a “GASP” came out.
A giant comet was headed straight for the city movie theater! But, Lita noticed
that this comet was different from all the others: first of all, it was blue and it glowed;
second it had the sign of the Negamoon on it. It was moving slowly, thank goodness,
because the new movie “Sailor V vs. the Phantom Menace” was playing and it was packed.
“What in the world…” Mina questioned as she noticed the problem. “What do you
make of this, Ami?”
“According to my calculations, this is a meteor sent from the Negaverse. And if we
do not stop it or rotate it’s course, it will collide with the theater, injuring many people and
even killing a few.” Ami said as she punched in buttons on her communicator.
