Hotaru, the daughter of the leader of the Death Busters from Super, Professor Tomoe, is weak, and gets tired relatively easily. Yet she had an odd healing power which made her more of an outcast in school, and she had no friends till she met Chibiusa, the pink haired daughter of Usagi and Mamoru. It turns out, towards the end of the Super, we find that Hotaru is that Messiah that the Outer Senshi had been talking about, and she turns into Sailor Saturn. Yet her life as a senshi is short lived as Pharoah 90 quickly transforms Hotaru into Mistress 9, an older, and more wicked verison of Hotaru. With luck, Usagi turns her back to her orginal form, but in the end she becomes just a little baby, which Haruka and Michiru adopt because of Professor Tomoe being in the hospital.

Hotaru really does not appear in SuperS and does not return intill Sailor Stars, in which she some how becomes her true age, which would be around 12-13. She then plays the role of a supporting character through the rest of that season.

I forgot to note, that with Hotaru being the messiah, she has the power to destroy the world. She is considered only weaker to Eternal Sailor Moon and Sailor Galaxia, if she so choice it, she could end life as we know

In closing, Hotaru is one of my favorite Senshi. How can you not love her?! She really makes Super and Sailor Stars, and I wish she was in more of the series
