Saito Family News - February 1999

Tasha had flyball house league today, and Ron tried handling her for a couple of runs since Pat will be away for the house league tourney. She ran OK for him.

February 21, 1999

Kelly returned home (on Air Transat) after she and Andrew spent a couple of days in Ottawa at Winterlude, and a couple of days of shopping.

February 14, 1999

Kelly and Andrew went to Waterloo last Friday - he had an exam on Saturday morning, and came back to Mississauga on Saturday afternoon. They spent the week shopping and touring, as well as commuting between Waterloo for Andrew's classes, tests and restaurant job. They saw "Chicago" and went to the new Famous Players Colossus theatre complex (on the site of the old 400 Drive In).

We're looking at flights to Wales for an engagement party in May/June. Winning a lottery would be helpful.

Killian's becoming a grown-up puppy; up to 64 lbs now and pretty well the same height as Tasha. Pat's taking them to Camp Totorodaka to let them run and exercise, since most other areas around are icy from the recent warm spell.

February 4, 1999

Kelly finally arrived after a very long journey. She started the day in the wee hours of the morning by taking the train to Gatwick. The Air Transat flight was fine until Pearson Air Traffic Control cancelled its 4:00pm landing slot, and they were diverted to Hamilton to wait for a slot. Three hours later (at 7:15pm) they finally landed. Andrew had been waiting at Terminal 1, but fortunately had some study books with him.

One of Kelly's two suitcases was full of sweets. Flying saucers, chocolates, dairy box, orange fizz bombs, milky - all kinds! They unpacked and went to dinner at Sarducci's.
