Spring 2001 was quite eventful for our family. Pat broke her elbow in a household accident the first week of February. She needed reconstructive surgery for her elbow and socket and was in a lot of pain. This will be a long recovery, probably most of the year. Unfortunately it was her right elbow. Ron continued to work in Seoul, South Korea, building the marchFIRST joint venture there with OpenTide (a subsidiary of Samsung) with trips back home monthly. Seoul had a record breaking cold and snow winter and was way too much like Mississauga. Andrew applied for a job at EDS Canada in Mississauga in the call centre and was pleased to be offered a job as a call centre trainer. He spent most of February in Clearwater, Florida (tough) getting ready to move the Chrysler Financial application to Mississauga. He also built Kelly & Andy's wedding page website including rsvp response, links to their gift registry, wedding and reception venues and engagement photos. Jenny continued working at Kitchens and More at the Erin Mills Power Centre and Katy continued working at Price Chopper. In March, Pat was able to join the Mississauga delgation to Kariya City, Japan (near Nagoya) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the twining and the opening of Mississauga Park in Kariya. Ron flew in from Seoul to join her. The homestay was interesting and we visited several tourist sites in the area during the week.
