Fate

Blindly groping, in the dark.
Learning to live, swimming with sharks.
Hurt and left, never the one.
Thinking life's over, all has been done.

Not aiming too high, looking for just a night.
Finding no meaning, knowing it's not right.
An accident happens, a silhouette appears.
A night's lust forgotten, a switching of gears.

A spark lights a flame, long given up for dead.
Cold calculated thoughts, replaced by a spinning head.
They talk of everything, and nothing too.
They smile at each other, could this be true?

It's life's little trick, a reason for another breath.
Inside there are bright colors, no sign of death.
Minute after minute, move swiftly by.
A match for his dream, he sees in her eye.

A fantasy blooms, powerful and clear.
In a day or an hour, she is so dear.
Love conquers all, love is so great.
At long last he smiles, when he speaks of fate.
