Despair

He wanders in circles, no where to go.
His insides turn over, he feels very low.
He doesn't have hope, no ultimate goal.
His wants to hide, cover up in a hole.

Far away a light, shines very bright.
To the light he can't, plan his flight.
The glow is off limits, in the dark he must stay.
How long, forever? No one can say.

Does he run from the light? Just forget that sweet glow.
Does he close his eyes to all, not ever to grow.
The pain doesn't lessen, but reality fades.
What he wants is a fantasy, her life he can't invade.

So just sit and hurt, nothing else to do.
Nothing can be said, only sit and stew.
Sometimes despair takes hold, and pulls him low.
Nothing matters, nothing, misery he knows.
