Background: With the coming of "spare parts" chains, Chicago quickly fell under siege by its gang elements. To counteract this disturbing trend, CPD developed its own Advanced Police units and deployed a series of ever-increasingly-powerful battlesuits. The K-11 was in use in Chicago before even MegaTokyo had its share, replacing the Kumo battlemover in 2026. The K-12S and K-17 were deployed concurrently with MegaTokyo's own ADPolice. The new U.S. Army K-25A Panther powered suit looked to CADP like the answer to their prayers when heavy military boomers (BU-12 variants) started to rock the city in late 2032. With GENOM unwilling to control their boomers, the city council voted unanimously to do the controlling for the corporation, with the unasked-for (but - highly unofficially - gratefully accepted) assistance of the Knights of the Fall.
The experimental K-25P carries some of the original's highly-effective milspec armaments. It is never deployed for riot control - when riots break out, CADP breaks out the K-11s.
