The JF-04MA Wolf is the first mass-produced combat model by the Janus Foundation. It shares similar design with the JF-01MA Dragon-Alpha and JF-03MA Dragon-Beta, but is significantly lighter in build. The "Beam Reaver" cannon is devastating to a Republic Amazon, capable of destroying it with one prolonged hit, and its light, accurate beam rapier can duel with the slightly clumsier plasma sabres of the Linear and most Republic high-end suits. Its real strength is its experimental "Predator" class darkmatter furnace. Although this new powerplant makes the suit much more agile than a less well-equipped opponent of equivalent size and weight, it has the unfortunate side-effect of exploding spectacularly when damaged.
The machine's very appearance screamed, This is a predator. From the multi-megawatt beam rifle cradled in its claws to the aggressive-looking beam sabre sheathed at its side, to the two sleek pods on its back, it disdained the dumpy, half-finished look of the FUDDs that the enemy forces had been using until now. It moved like a dangerous machine, too - faster by half than the Linears, more powerful than the Amazons.
Commander Torlen's squadron, of course, had the dubious honor of trying to stop it.
