The JF-05MD is the first attempt by the Janus Foundation to create a semi-autonomous combat unit. The Directive Oriented Guidance system is a serious attempt to create an artificial intelligence combat computer without the difficulties inherent in true intelligence. The resultant system is tough, durable and utterly terrifying, since the DOG computer was programmed with the disjointed motions of a zombie, though much faster. Mekton DOGs, in their few notable engagements to date, have acquitted themselves fairly well in combat and should be a major part of the Janus Foundation forces for years to come.
