    She is young, beautiful, and possessed of a psychokinetic power that many would kill for.  She is also a woman without a past.  Meet Sakura Ryouzaki, the leader of the band of renegades known to the universe as Rock Seven.

    He is Teruo Minamisawa, a Ranger, a young man dedicated to returning law and order to a galaxy in which those concepts are rapidly becoming faded, fond memories of the distant past, and lawlessness and ruthlessness the harsh realities of the present.

    Yuka Akahata is the seventeen-year-old heir to the Akahata Corporation.  Yuka ran away from home to escape her abusive father and her slave-mother.  Scarred by things that she doesn't want to remember, but her mind won't let her forget, she must face her demons with the help of her new friends.

    Masafumi Yoneda - A Dragoon, an elite combat cyborg and hardened veteran of innumerable battles on innumerable worlds, Masafumi was left on the battlefield to die.  Rescued by Sakura and Teruo, he will protect them with his life.

    Shiori Kitabashi - An idealistic doctor who refused to assist in a judicial execution of a man she knew was innocent, Shiori protects the lives of the other members of the team with the help of. . .

    Ichiro Kitabashi - Her devoted husband and a fellow doctor, Ichiro, unlike Shiori, is just as proficient with blaster rifle and blazer knife as he is with knitting laser and scalpel.

    Mamiko Yonenuma - The owner of the team's ship, the custom cruiser Mami-chan no Dream, she is a skillful combat pilot and one of the most valued members of Rock Seven.

    Seven young men and women, thrown together by fate to protect against the crumbling of order and peace in the universe.  Seven young men and women who are searching for the same thing: a home and a place to belong.  They will change the history of the universe.
 

 The Metal Storm 2380 Saga, by Mark W. Chase.  All twenty-five chapters of it.  This is the first totally original anime-fic that I know of, so if anybody was earlier, let me know and I'll put you up here!

 Kazei Five, by Michael "Susano" Surbrook.  K5 is more detailed than Metal Storm in terms of story, but Metal Storm is definitely the more detailed of the two (the word "obsessively" comes to mind when referring to the amount of detail that Mark C. put into Metal Storm - that's a compliment, Mark).  At least until Hero Games publishes the K5 worldbook. . .
