The Yongsan Dragons opened the defense of their 1997 Korea Football title with a 56 - 6 win over the Osan Courgar on Saturday (12 Sept 1998) at Osan Air Base. The Dragons were predicted to lose to the Cougars (0-1, 0-6 last year), 21 - 12. This was the Dragons 7th win in a row dating back to last year's perfect 6-0 season.

Next for the Dragons will be the Taegu Warriors.
