It was my second day back in Germany, visiting my family, when my brother, Randy, suggested we go skiing in the Black Forest. Forget about jet-lag when you have the opportunity to spend quality time with your sibling AND go down the slopes 220 with your hair on fire.

The ski slope is located in the Black Forest an hour outside the city of Freiburg. If you get the chance, spend an equal amount of time in the city... It's worth it.

While I spent most of my time on skis, trying to get all the kinks and sleep out of my eyes, everyone else, except for Darren, was snow boarding. My brother, his girlfriend, Chrissie, Kellie, and Scott and Rocky.

A lot of the driving was spent talking about the lack of snow on the other mountains we passed to get there... Words of anger soon followed as we got closer. But lo and behold, snow was there and a great time was had by all.

Feldberg Ski Slope

You know there's a language to snow boarders. If you're illerature in their language, then you may as well get the skis back on...

Now these two look like trouble.

Sure they're all smiling now... After two hours in the van getting to Feldburg, it looked as if only one or two would survive. Then there was the trip back...

It's sad really that this is the 23rd page of my website and THIS is the first photograph of my brother, Randy.
