Sight of the famous landing of UN Forces during the Korean War, Inchon
is located on the eastern coast of Korea. About 20 km from Seoul, it
took over an hour by subway/train to get there.
I remember going there back in the early 80s and watching, along with
my father and brother, this gentleman ordering an eel. Then the
waitress took the eel from the fish tank, lopped off it's head,
skinned it and chopped it up into pieces. Put the meat on a plate
of lettuce and served it. All three of us in the car sat there
with our mouths gaping in awe and disgust. Talk about culture shock
after 6 years in Kansas...
The city has grown since that time. I saw many apartment building
being built, and construction for the new national airport had already
begun.

"Hey! That's Loud!"
This picture was taken across the street from Inchon train station.
About five blocks from the train station is a memorial dedicated to
General Douglas MacArthur. I still need to scan that one...
"Drying the Peppers"
It's interesting to see how the red peppers were processed. Just as
interesting to know that it's been done this way for centuries. And I
got a jar just to prove it."
