Scott A. Harrold

Hi! My name is Scott. Most people know me as "Scooter" (a name I picked up as a child). I grew up in the small East Central Illinois Town of Georgetown. Georgetown lies on the Illinois/Indiana border and is approx. 35 miles Southeast of Champaign (Home of the fighting Illini). Georgetown was established in 1827 and has the notariety of being surveyed with a grapevine (which explains all the odd shaped boundary lines). Georgetown has also been mentioned in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" as having the world's lowest scoring basketball game (In the 1930's Georgetown was victorious over another East Central Illinois team with a score of 1-0).

I now live in Marshall, Illinois which is the County seat for Clark County. There are approx. 3500 hard working men and women living in this small town. We sit right on the Illinois/Indiana border and are just minutes away from Terre Haute, Indiana. One of Marshall's notable landmarks is the Gazebo that is located on the North East corner of the county courthouse building. There are many wonderful family functions centered around the gazebo during the summer months. Marshall is a wonderful town to settle down and raise a family. This is one of the most family oriented towns I have ever known.

I am married to a beautiful woman named Penny. We have three GREAT kids (Nicholas 18, Heather 15, and Joshua 14). In my spare time, which isn't often enough, I enjoy sports, singing karaoke, dancing, camping, hiking, and of course working on the computer.

I am emloyed by the Illinois Deparment of Corrections as a Correctional Officer. I spent nine years as a Sergeant for the department, but got tired of being away from my family, so I went back to being an officer. I will celebrate my 19th year of service in June of 2004.

I also enjoy training and teaching K-9's (both Police K-9's, and the General Public). My pride and joy in this was my K-9 partner, "Karlee." Karlee was a female German Shephard and came from an AKC National Grand Champion blood line. Sadly, I lost Karlee to cancer in July of 2002. Karlee was my first K9 partner and will be greatly missed. She was a part of this family and treated our children as if they were her pups. Goodbye Karlee, you are greatly missed by the whole family!!!

While living in Georgetown, I opened my own canine training business. Canine's On Patrol Training Services. Canine's On Patrol Training Sevices offered a wide range of canine training services, ranging from Private Citizen Basic Obedience to Police Department K-9's. Canine's On Patrol Training Services also offered an AKC accredited K-9 Good Citizen Course. Since moving to Marshall, I have not opened a full fledged training school again, but will train k9's on an individual basis.

Since moving to Marshall, I have been active in the Marshall Quarterback Club. A booster club for the high school football program. I am currently the web site administrator for the Quarterback club's new website. Check it Out!!

Well, enough talk....let's see what else is here.
