Any creature which has a parent from two of the races.  Usually used when the person is half maolyn half human.

A group of lost souls.  These people died before they accomplished their goals, and would give anything to finish them.  They have sold their souls to Chaos, Serphinese, for another chance at life, but in return they must help her find the evil essence of her fallen master.

A race of people that both can and cannot use magic.  The ones that can use magic usually outrank the ones that can't.

The three Guardians who wear a unisex costume.  They are the Guardians of the Hybrid elementals.  Blizzard and Lit are boys and Flare is the girl.  They start off as enemies of the Mystic Guardians.

A type of cat with purple fur that is far more intelligent than a regular cat.

A type of magic which is a variation of water magic.  This magic involves ice, snow and
cold attacks.

A group of humans with the ability to regenerate themselves after they are killed one time.  Because of this they can't die or age.

A type of magic which is a variation of Fire magic.  This magic involves explosions, and
lava attacks.

He is an orphaned misbegotten child who transforms into Guardian Wind.

A psychotic lost soul.  In the pre-Mystic Guardian series he is the King of Mirana who kills Janus.  In the Mystic Guardians stories he's just a crazed, broken man who longs for Schala, but knows he could never have her.

Lebauer's agent.  She tracks down all of the tournaments that go on around the globe, and enters her champion in them.  She's very concerned about making money, and is always calculating profits on her abacus.  She's also an immortal shapeshifter.

The ferryman who brings people from the ground level Zeal across a channel to Mirana.  That's really all he does.

The enchanted floating kingdom.  Zeal is a very exclusive place, which has been around for a long time.  It's the home of Janus and Schala.

The small planet where the Mystic Guardians stories take place.
