Dark Torment
Dark Torment

by Shadowdance

My Dark One is a tortured soul
You can see it in his eyes
Not for his own countenance cry
It is for the others demise.

See he was fighting a battle that day
And led his troops to victory
When his battlement finally rode home
They were met with such misery.

The castle had been left unguarded
Except by all but a paltry few
A group of bandits raided them
And everyone they slew.

My Dark One lost his love that day
And rode off into the night
When evil did he meet out there
He didn't even put up a fight.

Now he is changed forever
Drinks blood to stay alive
Yet his soul is tormented deep inside
He wishes he could die.
