It hit me today
This emptiness I feel

I've been busy working
Since I returned home
Immersed in my job
Is why I didn't feel alone.

But today was different
It's a day for play
I went swimming with my son
But didn't even want to stay.

I kept thinking about
All the fun that we've had
Doing fun things without you
Just makes me sad.

We'll be together again soon
