Sir Death

by Shadowdance

Death is not our enemy.
He is the teacher upon
who's path we trod.

He takes our hand and gently guides
us thru the maze
we call our life.

No ill does he bestow upon us.
He only wishes for us
to know the truth.

His brother Life is who has tricked us.
Making promises he
never intended to keep.

Death only serves to open our eyes.
To bring us peace and harmony
before we die.

Maybe someday we'll understand
Lifes trickery was
not the plan.

Death is but a stepping stone.
Calling us away
to live another day.
