Tenchi Misaki The main character of the story. Probably the luckiest guy on Earth. 5 girls all want his love. He must be having a hard time making up his mind. What a weirdo. Someone wake this guy up and tell him that Ryoko is the one. Duh. ANYWAYS! It all started when... {{Deep breath}} he got the keys to an ancient cave opened it Ryoko was inside he freed her and took the sword that was sealing her up then he was at school and Ryoko attacked him but it was a misunderstanding and now she lives with him. {{deep breath}} Ryoko's presence attracted the princess of the planet and organization of Jurai known as Ayeka who blasted them both to pieces but not before Ryoko summoned Ryo-ohki the spaceship to fly them away. {{Deep breath}} Ayeka and Ryoko fought both ships destroyed then Ayeka is living with Tenchi now and Sasami is too 'cause she was on Ayeka's ship when it blew up. {{whew}} Uhm, Mihoshi crashes, Kagato attacks, then another girl named Washu is living with Tenchi. GOT IT?? GOOD! Tenchi also has the power of the Jurai, and can generate something called the light hawk wings. Get it? Go buy the series. Listen to the Tenchi Muyo! Ryoko, a cunning space pirate and the best creation made by Washu. Her powers are generated from small gems on her wrists, and there's also one that is supposed to be on her neck. But currently she only has 2. Her powers are mostly dealing with energy transfer, (Energy sword, energy beams, lightning) and also molecule manipulation(teleportation, the ability to move through solid objects, flight, the ability to combine with and manipulate solid objects). She has a very aggressive personality (Tenchi knows this more than anyone else). Also, she has been with Tenchi ever since he was little, (Unknown to Tenchi) and she watched him grow up. She was sealed in a cave near the Misaki residence by Yosho 700 years ago. She must've been bored. Ryoko, IMHO should be the one to get Tenchi. So there!

Princess Ayeka of the Jurai Royal court. Using the power of Jurai, she can create a powerful forcefield around herself, used as either a defense, of a highly offensive attack. She can also generate these.. things..they look like little blocks of wood.. to create a defensive forcefield around herself or others. Also, using this type of field, she can capture other things or people. Ayeka's personality is somewhat ...no.. VERY snobbish and demanding. I mean, she can't even admit she likes Tenchi. Probably end up marrying Grandpa.

Sasami and Tsunami Sasami, the cute little blue-haired girl who hangs out with Ryo-ohki is more than what she seems. First off, she's very powerful. Second, she hangs out with Ryo-ohki. Third, Ryo-ohki is cute. Fourth, Ryo-ohki and Sasami together are cuter. ANYWAYS... She is the second princess of Jurai, and keeper of Jurai's most powerful ship, Tsunami. (Tsunami is the one on the bottom in the pic above) What I mean by keeper is..Well...she's basically a human Ryo-ohki, and says some magical spell to transform into Tsunami. Which, BTW, generates the Wings of the Lighthawk. 10 of them. Sasami loves to cook, and hints that she has a mild schoolgirl crush on Tenchi. Though the "Pretty Sammy" OAV's emphasize that quite...graphically. I like Sasami much more in the Tenchi OAV's than in Universe, because she can't do that corny "Pretty Sammy" transformation. (At least not in the first season) Also, Tsunami, is what i've heard a grown-up version of Sasami. Listen to the theme for "Pretty Sammy" (Midi)

Ok, Now Ryo-ohki. This little Cabbit (half cat half rabbit type thing) is the best thing devised in the Tenchi series. It has the ability to transform into a ship, which is handy, and it also has the same molecule manipulation powers as Ryoko. It like carrots too. Many carrots. Constantly. And it meows. But the best thing about Ryo-ohki is that when it jumps, it makes a very cool bouncing noise.

Galaxy Police woman Mihoshi. The ditziest and flakiest person alive. And she is lucky to be alive too. She is so unbelievably dumb, it's a wonder she still is. But she does have a good luck streak. Misinterpreting a message sent from Galaxy Police headquarters, she goes on a lookout for Kagato, the criminal of the the first OAV series. Crash landing on Earth and stranded, she feels that since Tenchi saved her, Tenchi must be her destiny. (Yeah, right. As if he had half a brain. More than what she has.) Although she sounds bad, she does have and array of surprisingly nifty items, most illegal provided to her by her grandfather, the "big cheese" of the Galaxy Police.

Washu The most brilliant scientist of the galaxy, and full of herself too. Quite clever, she created Ryoko, Ryo-ohki, the Sohja (Kagato's Spaceship) and countless other things she probably never talked about. Even though she is 20,000 years old, she has the appearance of a 12 year old, (If you were brilliant, would you want to grow older? I thought so.) and requests that everyone call her "Washu-chan". (Little Washu) She also wants Tenchi, but is more aggressive than Ryoko. How can anyone be more? Washu: I just need some sperm sample. Tenchi: What?? You're joking, right? Washu: Hey, relax. Strictly Medical...right?
